Maps not loading (Custom->Melee)

Can’t seem to load the maps lately on sc2. Trying to do the Custom→Melee. Tried playing offline too and its not loading the maps I’ve already downloaded. Tried doing a scan & repair but didnt help.

I’m having this same issue. I have tried around 6 different things today to try fix this issue.

Does Blizzard read these forums? I don’t know how to fix this.

I’m sure they’ll see it eventually. I can’t load any maps or select any to play myself. Today is the first time I’ve seen this happen.

Issue started today for me too, after what appears to have been some kind of minor update? Everything was working perfectly fine yesterday. Went through all troubleshooting steps, no luck. I’ve since done more testing around with things, and have found that this seems to be a broader issue related to user content on battle net. The fact that someone else has reported this problem today suggests that may well be the case. Here’s what I’ve found.

  1. In the editor, if I try to publish a new version of my mod or maps, I get stuck at the window where it tries to retrieve header files for dependencies, such as Liberty Story (Campaign), Nova Covert Ops (Art Mod), Swarm Story (Campaign), Void Multi (Mod), and Void Story (Campaign), in addition to reading “Document dependency header file is not available” for my own mod. Normally, this all eventually loads and goes away and lets me move onto the next screen, but not this time - none of them are getting retrieved, it seems.

  2. In the editor, if I go to “Manage Published” from under “File”, the window comes up blank, despite the top bars still showing I have 29/80 documents published and 152 MB of space used up. There is just a blank window below all that.

  3. In Battle Net, none of my published maps are showing up under custom games, and it would seem NOTHING except Ladder Maps are showing up to be played under the custom games at all. There are no lobbies I can see at all from anyone in any games. I decided to forego playing on my own maps and just try one of the available ladder maps using my extension mod, but my mod never appeared for me to select.

  4. I tried loading up a replay of one of my last custom games on my published maps, and while the replay did load (after opening up an older version of SC2 or whatever) the entire game crashed the moment I tried to take command.

  5. In the map editor, when I go to update my map dependencies by selecting and downloading the latest uploaded version of my mod, it won’t actually load or show any of my mods, and instead the window reads at the bottom: “Unable to retrieve document list: An error has occurred."

  6. I also found this issue occurring on my wife’s account on my other computer, meaning it is not isolated to just my account nor my computer device.

All of this suggests to me that whatever this latest update pushed onto SC2 or Battle Net or whatever was, messed up some kind of communication with user-published content, to the point that even the editor can’t locate any of it online.
