Lost D3D9 device

Hello Folks,

I am attempting to play SC2, and my graphics go to black whenever I get to the screen where I can select “Versus”,“Co-op” and so on.

When I look at the logs, I see that it’s losing the D3D9 device.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled my NVidia drivers, and I do not have a OneDrive account.

Below are the final lines of the log.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

what you are not telling me is what cpu you have. i think i can rule out gpu issues but, until i know your cpu, i can not rule out cpu issues. what is your cpu?

So I got it to work finally.

  1. Uninstall SC2
  2. Uninstall NVidia Driver for my MX250
  3. Uninstall BNet
  4. Delete the files at the following locations:
  • C:\Users\SomeUser\AppData\Roaming\Battle.net
  • C:\Users\SomeUser\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment
  • C:\Users\SomeUser\AppData\Local\Battle.net

Then it began working after reinstalling everything and letting the download run to completion.

I’m not sure what the problem was other than me installing CUDA a few days before, but that got me back to fighting for my life in Platinum league.
