Latest patch made game unplayable?

I haven’t played SC2 in several weeks, but after watching a SC2 tournament on Youtube i wanted to give it a try again. But, now when the game loads and launches, i get a notification that says. “Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware - Application SC2_x64.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware” then my screen turns black and i am left with my starcraft pointer with a black screen and music playing in the background sometimes the pointer turns into a dot with double brackets around it. Also, when i try to ctrl+alt+del the pointer remains as a starcraft one and i cant select the SC2 process the right click and end.

I have done the following so far:

  1. Reset my graphics driver, and made sure it was updated
  2. updated my GPU which already had been updated
  3. Made sure i was starting the game as an admin
  4. made sure my screen resolution exactly matched the game resolution
  5. operating game in full screen mode
  6. turned off antialiasing for comp and game
  7. ran the command prompt with “sfc 'scannow” and had zero problems

How am i getting blocked? why is nothing working?
I have a intel graphics 4000 and the game was working perfectly 3-4 weeks ago…

What patch in the last several weeks are ypu trying to blame? Wasnt the last patch late last year?

there hasnt been any patchs, but heres what you can do, cause right now your having a problem with resolution matching the device, so something you changed in your visuals whether it be new monitor or what not, is whats causing the problem. now there are two ways to said fix, easiest is to reset your ingame setting through the launcher by clicking the gear icon next to the play button. from there youll click game settings, go to sc2 on the right of that and at the bottom of the options it says reset ingame options. click that

hard way is change the setting of your monitor through windows and try to find the right setting you last had

this was all probably cause your driver software updated and changed something. and no sc2 has not changed in almost a year now so its definitly not that.

Try this:

  Select options beside of the 'play' button
  ->select game settings
    ->tick "additional command line arguments"
       ->write on the box below "-displayMode 0"

Once youre on the game set ur graphics setting/resolution into lower.
