I am still wanting StarCraft 3

Yes no, maybe so? What do you all surmise? I hope that It does end up coming out to happen. I want the promised 4 part campaign with one for each race if they do add the extra race as was promised. That being said, let my favourite RTS game commence.

I want it to happen so bad. And yes I want it released in multiple parts just like last time. If it comes all out in one, then it will be rushed and all scrunched together.

But seems like that will never happen.

What exactly are they going to do with SC3? Brood War is still played to this day, SC2 is an updated modern SC experience. My guess is when SC2 graphics become 1998 graphics we will see SC3, until then, we must work to change the one we have for the better.

I want a pizza

come back in 10 , 15 years and maybe then we will see something. Considering they are remastering WC 3 after so many years i wouldnt be hyped too much for SC 3 any time soon.

For my point of view, its too early for SC3. Currently SC2 is still up-to-date, with good graphics, sound & gameplay. Nothing in SC 2 look or feel dowdy.

I would assume it need 5-10 more years until it make sense to start with SC3.

Considering that Blizz doesn’t give the slightest f-k about the game already, it is obvious that there will never be StarCraft 3.

I don’t know is it the Blizzard getting tired from this game, or Activision ordering them to abandon it cause they can’t suck as much money out of the players as they want, but it doesn’t really matter.

By the time it gets announced will people even care enough about pc gaming for it to matter?

It would be a terrible business plan for Blizz. It would split the playerbase even more between the still active broodwar and SC2 competitive scenes. You would have to bet on completely new people to jump onto the RTS genre or you would only end up hurting everyone.

Starcraft 3 will be balanced by ai hopefully and not monkey dev in gold league, so we can have perfect balance and noone can complain about game state anymore and it will be pointless to play game anymore since ai can beat anyone

I’d rather see a SC2: Remastered sometime. Updated graphics etc…and run on a new engine. Have all the same modes of play exported over with all the commanders people bought.

I don’t know what more the can really do storywise with the game aside from potentially adding some missions packs into the new game.

Why a SC3 if LotV have already killed the franchise?

Exactly my thoughts. Currently, there’s too much already invested in StarCraft II at this current time.

  • Coop Commanders a plenty
  • Recent balance changes
  • Recent bug patches

If anything could be added to StarCraft general, it’d be added to what we have not rather than overwritten with something new. if SC3 simply came in as a new platform, it’d fracture the current community and SC2 features. Many players will want many of the same features and versus multiplayer experience in the new thing. And many others things would be wanted in the new platform, till it would be asked why a new, separate game is needed in the first place.

So you might as well put new content in SC2.

Only reason I want SC3 is to update the engine. I play Co-Op a lot and the new Stetmann commander pushes the single-core engine we have now to its limits.

I’d be completely happy with SC3 being a re-release of SC2, but with a better engine.

My thoughts exactly.
Everything above here as myself and other people have invested a lot of $ into the game when you take all this into consideration.

The biggest issue is the older engine SC2 runs on and yes, the single core processor problems.

IF and when they do SC3 I hope it’s really just a facelift on this game. There is nothing inherently wrong besides some balance issues and technical limitations.

Starcraft 3 could only be justified as a sequel if they revamped the core gameplay to try and improve upon the formula.

I’ve spent just about all the money on this game there is to spend (barring BlizzCon tickets and the announcers), but i’d willingly pay it all again for a re-vamp like this. I get more than my money’s worth from this game and I know it. Literally thousands of playtime hours on a supported, multiplayer game. Almost anything else would have a subscription or what not.

Yes, I spend also for the Battle Chest Themes, because the game is still so great. We have 2019 but i still play nearly only SC2.

The game is nearly perfect, and worth to support financial.

I really like the ongoing Support of new Maps / Balance Updates / World Championships.
