the key to why protoss is objectively the f2 A-move race is mostly because of nexus recall, because recall allows protoss players to f2 A-move and recall if there is a drop or something.
however the other culprit is various A-move units such as collosus, zealots, archons, and noone really micros stalkers after the mid game. also high templar arent really A-move but they still require way to little micro.

Recall exist from Wings Liberty please l2p by the way stimroll is hard and ht die faster then zealots

dude high templar were the only unit in the game that were given an auto attack so that way when protoss f2 A-moves they dont have to micro their high templar at all.

Exactly like ghost mechanics.

the difference is ghosts have an actual attack that deals real damage
the high templars auto attack was 100% added to make them easier to micro. imagine if ravens had an attack with the range of viking that did almost no damage, that would be like the high templar.
i honestly dont see how any reasonable person can defend the high templar auto attack.
just another example of blizzards shameless bias for protoss.

The difference is that HT attack was added. Now there is no difference between HT and ghost.
And is backed by lore.
In my humble you looked from a wrong direction at the “A-Move toss”, even so you scratched on the truth. It’s not the recall. Back in WoL you walked with your whole army around the map, even without MS on the field. It’s more how the race works. Protoss has to rely on key units to fight armys. Without key units they won’t trade as good anymore. The reason is the limited micro to DPS potential. Either you have to micro pretty hard, or the micro potential is very limited (Like Zealots). Don’t get me wrong I don’t say Zealots as runby aren’t good. My point is you need to support all the key units and they interact in a different way with each other. If you can’t do this they are useless and this happens once the army isn’t together. And if you play a more guerilla style like Terran mid game, as toss you won’t like to move out with any key unit at all.
So My conclusion is: The race is designed to be played like this and if you like to “fix” it, you have to take a good look into the Immortal, Archon, Collo, Disruptor, HT and the Carrier. So overall you create a new race.

I am idk, who defends it. I am all against it. I have to put my ht all the time on hold, because they try to go into the fight. I hate auto attack and don’t understand, why it was added. But it’s weird to hear about f2 protoss amove from someone, who’s replays show that he plays in masters with f2 terran amove.

no a ghost actually counters many units by supply without spells, the high templar counters nothing.
the high templars auto attacked was 100% added for easier micro. do you or do you not deny that.
Repair all the brain damage dealt to terran by stim.

Yea and sell him to ghost on a move
How to make protoss less f2 A-move
Simply reduce the supply cost / power level of Protoss units, so their army strength is the same but there are more units to manage.
Nahh thats too much work for the “REEEans” it’s easier for them to just blanket whine and complain about Protoss without factoring in how the race was designed and how Protoss requires a lot of unit cohesion in order for the race to work as a whole.

There is 2 ways to nerf toss A move.
1 would be to reduce its splash damage out put. It is rediculous how strong it is. Makes going bio prohibitive
2: The cost of units like the immortal is too cheap. its cheaper than a tank and thor yet its damage output is massive. Which is the number one reason that mech is prohibitive
bonus 3: Nerf some of their cheese options. and do this by nerfiing shield battery output . shield batteries are OP. nerfed most if not all terran all ins. at the very least increase the cost of them. playing aginst toss is rediculous.
Let toss keep all of their shanangians. And combine mech and bio upgrades to allow for an easier transition. It is rediculous that terrans are almost always behind on upgrades to toss…
you know what none of this will even matter soon. Next week I’ll have a new xbox in my hands. This game is just trash

Unlike the Siege Tank and the Thor the Immortal does only one job. Destroying armoured ground units. Its not some nifty artillery piece that outranges almost anything in the game and it doesn’t have a flexible long range Anti Air loadout.
It has less range and dps against armoured ground targets then the thor.
As for cost it cost 100 gas and 25 minerals less than the thor, its straight up more expensive than the siege tank. Being more focused on a single job it should do that job better than either of those units which are its ideal target.
It keeps high templar from just moving themselves into the meat grinder when they are kept in the same control group as everything else.
The key to why Terran stim F2 a moves is mostly because of marines and marauders, because bio units allow Terran players to stim F2 a move across the map. However the real culprit is the medivac which heals marines and marauders and noone really micros medivacs after the mid game. Also ghosts aren’t really a move but they still require way “to” little to micro.

yes exactly so protoss players dont need to micro.
