Why does game match me with 600 mmr above pro players when i am obviously silver class noob? And why does my opponent gets 75 mmr more by beating rubbish players like me?

There’s probably not a lot of active players with as low as 2200 MMR. So the system probably matched you higher.
Do you realize 2800 mmr is diamond 3 league players.
Most of the players should be in gold leagues. You say there isnt even gold league players?
How can I gain any mmr in this mmr hell when I play vs diamond.
wtf? 2800 isn’t diamond 3. I have 3200 and that’s plat 2 lol.
Sorry I meant platinum, I am not familiar with the leagues since I never go beyond gold 3.
If you can even spot the difference between players at those ratings, hats off to you.
I don’t know what 2200 is, but if the system gives you 2800 that means there wasn’t enough players searching at your MMR. Once you hit 3k, that happens much less until you hit higher leagues like GM where 5k players get matched up with 6k+.
I seriously dont get this game. I play every game with 150+ apm because I am old wc3 rts veteran. I have thought played sc2 since beginning everyonce in awhile. Something just feels terrifyingly off and nothing that worked before doesnt apply anymore, its like I am fighting a noob player who has real sword with my stick made of wood. Thats why whenever this 60apm player makes couple of units he is able to beat my 150-170apm so easilly even I know all the functions of the units and so forth. Its like I entered parallel reality where my skill doesnt apply anymore and I am ridiculed even to the point that girls and grannies can beat me up in a game where I tought I had natural talent. Its so bizarre I cant even explain that.
This. TBH if you’re struggling to get out of 2200, you need to learn one and one thing only. Macro, Macro, and Macro. I climbed to Gold 1 off placements two years in a row by simply building up a huge army and A-moving into their base. Literally not even looking at the units after I A-move them.
- Constantly build workers
- Build expansions before your newest base saturates
- Only build production buildings (unless you’re zerg) when you can afford to continuously build out of them - non stop production
- get upgrades
- Once you max out, A-move your army across the map from one base, to the next, to the next, ending at their natural and then main base.
- Welcome to Gold 1
Its lies my dude. Somehow the game is different for you and me. I can seriously send you my recent game where I played with 160apm and my opponent beats me miracously with 60apm all happening in silver league. I have never been so outplayed and ridiculed before.
My climb to gold I was done off 50 apm. APM doesn’t mean jack. Learn to macro and you’ll climb, watching the replays of people with 2200 MMR I could see that my army was 2x as big like 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, we had similar armies but they didn’t remax as fast as me so my 2nd push won the game.
Legit, as long as your build is efficient, you won’t lose to anything but earlygame cheese vs silver players.
I can invite you to watch a replay with me. my user name is wice
At another time maybe, I don’t have the free time to watch a replay right now, if you’re free in like 4 hours I could do that. But I can guarantee you your macro is bad if you’re stuck in silver.
Few questions.
- Do you max out before 10 minutes? Unless you’re going for mass BCs or carriers, you should max out by 9-10 minutes. Around 8:30 for zerg.
- Do you have 80-85 workers? Or 90-100 as zerg? If not you need to make more workers/more expansions
- Do you continuously upgrade units whenever you can? After you get the 1st upgrades rolling, you should go on to the 2nd and 3rd tier as soon as they’re ready
- What army comp are you using? If you go bio, or mass ling/bane and don’t know how to control those units, you’re going to lose vs most army comps (this point really doesn’t matter if you macro well at silver MMR)
Its none of that, its like some weird force holding me back who doesnt want me to success in life. Like something really big or dark but I am unable to see what it is but its just manifesting itself also in this game because I feel like if i can overcome this problem, then I can also become cod pro because its more like what i have been up to lately, but its also more life if i succes in life or not.
My bro played this game at wings of liberty grand master league. I think that is reverting back at me somehow with this bizarre force that I cant beat because I know for sure that I would have been never be able to beat my bro in this game.
I am more like judging the current grand master players if they can become to the level what my bro had back in wings of liberty time. If they are better or worse or same skill level. I dont know but its more like force / stress levels they are at and so forth.
Someone tell me this is a comedy post because I just CAN’T HAHA
I mean I would agree this is a pretty absurd match up. But I would imagine it was because of one of these reasons.

You are in provisional mmr and thus are getting placed against a wide variety of players, need to play at least 30 games to get out of this.
-
The time you were playing was not a good time. During certain times of the day not many people are online due to work, sleep, ect. So the system gives you the best match it can find in a reasonable amount of time.

It happened to you once just randomly. Sometimes these things just randomly happen. It doesn’t happen often but it does happen. Especially the lower or higher your mmr is. If you are in the mid range of mmr (from 2800 - like 3700) there are more players to choose from since the large majority of players are at this level. For instance I am 4.4k and I regularly get matched against 4.7k players or higher.
Just one of those things man, keep playing it likely isnt going to happen very much. But it does suck when it does, I’ll agree.
2800 is plat T3 not diamond. Diamond mmr is 3200
That’s not WC where you micro the s**t out of 15 units and make the impossible to keep them alive. At these low tiers you only need macro. I can play at 2.2k only with mouse and still be able to win (<=50 apm). Improve your macro, forget about the APM and what you did in WC. Telling you this as a veteran SC and WC player - the two games have nothing in common in terms of play style.
The fact that you’re stuck on apm is telling of a big issue. You can get to GM with 100apm; don’t focus on spamming hotkeys and boxing for no reason. Just work on making more stuff. More stuff literally always beats less stuff in SC2 below Diamond 1
I’d say up until like platinum, maybe plat 1. From my games vs plat players, even if you are left alone and max out as fast as possible w/ good base count, you can easily lose if you don’t micro well or if their comp outright counters you.
Learned that the hard way going mech vs siege tank spam terran, or bio vs colossus spam protoss. I’d say around plat 1 or 2 micro and army comp start to play a small (but not absent) role in winning.
