Thanks for any advice!

i suggest disabling multimonitor support by setting the same image to display on all monitors. starcraft 2 was never built to run on multiple monitors.

This is good callout to try unplugging the monitor. Though, StarCraft II can run on multimonitor set ups - it can still experience issues and has been known to caused this error (Including TV). The concern is more towards different refresh rates or resolution. It’s worth also seeing if the 144hz monitor may run StarCraft II at the native 60hz.

If the problem continues, let’s try forcing windowed mode. Open Blizzard App, click Blizzard logo at the top-left, Settings > Game Settings, click checkbox for Additional Command Line Arguments, type -Displaymode 0 in the text box that opens up.

Deleting the Variables file under Documents\StarCraft II can help reset StarCraft II’s configuration and settings as well.

unplugging the monitor is obselete when you can just use nvidia control panel to disable it.

Ah god bless you. Forcing windowed mode did the trick, as I’m not entirely willing to have to remember to change my main display refresh rate every time I decide to play SC2. My secondary is vertical for writing, so I can’t really play anything on that.
