I recently redownloaded SC2, and the game opens but the minute the authentication begins, it crashes and says my save files are damaged I do not know how to fix this I have tried many things, but nothing works.
Do you have Onedrive active? If so, it’s not compatible with SC2.
You’ll need to unsync your Documents folder. Note that simply uninstalling Onedrive one won’t fix it. The folder needs to be unsync’ed.
actually leviathin, uninstalling one drive does work, if you do it before ever downloading sc2. Ive never had to unsync due to always removeing one drive after installing windows.
Ah thats true. If it’s gone before SC2 install, the relevant files won’t get moved to onedrive.
I just usually suspect that if they are launching the game and get the errors, the files have already been sync’ed.
yeah thats usually what happens if you dont uninstall it first. Its the first thing i do when i install windows on every pc i build. One drive creates so much problems and frankly its no good using cloud storage and putting your data into some one elses hands.
