Problem:
So I’ve been having this screen flashing issue for a while probably 6 months. Today when I logged in to Battle net, it would flash every few seconds. I even had to forfeit a ladder game, because I thought it was fixed and found out too late that it wasn’t.
Troubleshooting - Attempted Fixes:
I tried the usual. Update Windows, update my NVIDIA Driver, repair the game, restarting my device, and considering reinstalling the game.
I found an old article via Google to the old sc2 forums on Battle NET. It is read-only and I can’t post the link here. That had a few other hints including setting a frame rate theshold from Support Forum Agent Jurannok. Here is a snippit of that person’s advice, and maybe it helped fix my problem as well:

BlockquoteLets cap the frame rate in the game to reduce system stress. To do this, open the file below:
Filepath Removed since it looks like a link
File path is under your Documents folder, Starcraft II, and you would need to edit the variables.txt document thereAnd then add/change the following lines:
frameratecap=60
frameratecapGlue=40
The Solution:
I went into the settings in-game and reset my graphics to default settings.
This fixed my problem completely. Just ran a game for 30 minutes and not one flicker. So don’t forget to try a reset of your settings to see if that fixes anything.
Computer Specs:
Ain’t nobody got time for that. I’m back to gaming!
I would post my computer settings, but I have an unusual setup. I actually use a 62" TV as my computer screen for certain reasons. However, I knew it wasn’t the screen/monitor when the flashing didn’t occur as much outside the game. I actually have similar issues with other things like Netflix, but the experience I had today was much worse than the usual flashing that I can tolerate.
