i got that apm since 11 years. i just spam a lot having a very high repeat rate keyboard. the key for having strong wrists is going for heavy deadlifts, trust me bro.

MaxPax is pretty interesting mainly because he’s totally anonymous despite clearly being the best protoss on earth. I’ve read a theory that Maxpax is Life’s facade to continue playing sc2 esports despite being benned. A more likely theory is that he’s a minor and privacy laws prevent him from disclosing his identity online. If he’s <18 and doing this well, Serral better start sweating. Another possibility is that he’s AlphaStar and they are using SC2 pro play to better their algorithms. I could see that one as well, since their algorithms were impressive but clearly were doing a routine with no understanding of what was going on in the game. I saw one where a proxy rax denied the natural, and alphastar tried taking a third hatch despite there being bunkers and having no control over its natural. They want AI to develop the ability to reason, and alphastar clearly could not.
Reddit is screeching about WM yet Clem is going a singular WM straight into tech lab for tanks otherwise he just gets destroyed by MaxPax’s 4gate blink stalker. Have you seen how big medivacs are on the minimap now? I mistakenly took them for motherships they’re that big.
And this is something that you should REALLY be worried about. I was always curious if very high apm (+250) in games like SC2 is detrimental to your mental health (to your physical it’s obvious -broken wrists, carpal tunnel etc). But the biggest problem is whether high apm can cause OCD - obssessive compulsive disorder, dementia and ADHD that you mentioned yourself. It would be very good idea to go to some psychiatrist/neurologist and ask him that question before it is too late.

I get your Point but im exaggerating. Im Just Not as focused. And Most of the Things you do in sc2 should be done without thinking. you do it automatically. For me this is much easier with High apm than with Low apm. The only real Deal is that i should Turn down the Spam once earlygame is over so i can actually put all those unneccessary actions to use.
I think i could Play akrij to a very similiar Level with below 100 apm, Like akrij did. Because obviously the build is pretty easy and you dont need macro or Micro.
Exploratory function in ur brain makes u bored so you find new things to do. Exploration is a key part of creativity and that’s why repetitive tasks aren’t creative because it rewards people who who don’t explore but instead who repeat. Sc2 pro play has much higher emphasis on repetition than on exploration and so it’s not a creative sport. Dudes be spamming the same build orders on repeat, with minor variations, for 10’s of 1000’s of games (lmao). It practically requires ocd to be good at starcraft just due to the highly repetitive nature of the game. If creativity were rewarded, gumiho and sos would be the goats. Zerg would have no goats because there are no creative tools in zerg. Literally the only option is to spam drones & defend. It’s not possible to prioritize tech or upgrades without falling behind. Closest thing zerg has to a viable tech rush is to rush out infestors for fungal but even that is slower than a terran can reach his ultimate tech aka bvs so ur still behind.
Sc2 is unfortunately designed to be a multitasking game where the quantity of actions matter much more than the quality. Multitasking is 95% speed and speed is 95% practice and repetition. And so sc2 is basically a game of practice and very little else.
I beat a 5300 zerg who called me trash and told me to shut up with my trash opinion. These people live in a bubble & can’t see the objective reality of the game. Strategy matters very little when you can leverage apm for such massive advantages. Opinions on game design & balance don’t matter in a game where the better multitasker wins by that merit alone. So it becomes a game of who is the bigger weeb and willing to dedicate more time to being good at sc2. They act like being good at sc is a skill when in reality it’s just a time commitment.
That’s why sc2 rewards people who are conscientious, not people who are creative. Conscientious people are good at repetitive tasks, and creative people are good at exploration. There’s nothing to explore in modern sc2. Serral won a tournament with the same strats that Leenock was using in the GSL 7 years ago.

I watched them promote gamestop BS even though it was clearly a marketing scheme so that wealthy wallstreet investors could short sell stock & transfer their losses to burger king employees. That’s the brilliance of it. It’s cruel, but you have to admit that it was very smart. So anyway, speaking of scams, I went into walmart today. I hate walmart. Amazon is so much better. I am walking down one of the aisles and this very aggressive, clean, well dressed and attractive young man comes up to me and starts a conversation about my t shirt. It’s a custom shirt. I have family who own an aircraft company. So I am all telling him about the trips I’ve been on with them. At first I though oh great I am getting hit on by another gay guy (it happens all the flippin time). He then starts talking about how he’s a plumber but how he’s got a friend who was a plumber too but he invested his money well & retired by the age of 26. He goes on about how he doesn’t want to work forever and break his knees and back so he’s paying attention and learning what his friend has to say. Right, so he’s setting up the scam saying he’s gonna introduce me to someone who will help me invest or whatever, right. They never say “I can help you” because it’s not one step removed. There’s so many facial advantages to having it be one step removed.
So anyway I say oh so you’re a plumber. You know what DWV piping is. He looks confused and I say drainage waste and venting. He obviously wasn’t a plumber. He didn’t know the technical terms. He picked that out based on my appearance. I was wearing jeans with grease stains. Not bad, kid.
He’s like “oh yeah, how did YOU know that?” and I am like well when I get bored with software engineering I take construction jobs for a buddy of mine. I then told him a story about how I had an hvac guy come into my house and how he turned the water heater down in an attempt to scam me into buying a new water heater. So at this point this scam artist is starting to sweat, but he tries for it anyway. Gotta respect his determination, right. He’s like oh you’re a software engineer, so you’re pretty smart, right? And I am like well top of the IQ chart is electrical engineers, then physicists, then software engineers, and I studied all three in school, so I think that would be a pretty fair assessment. He’s like oh man that’s way too much thinking for me. Good thing I’ve got my friend to help me with my investing so that I can retire by the age of 26. I am like yeah I’ll bet your friend is pretty bored. Retiring early sounds nice except for the fact that you end up being really bored. At this point he’s wondering if I’ve already retired and I’ve demonstrated I am good at spotting scams, right.
So he’s ready to exit the conversation and I keep him there by showing interest in his investment scheme so I ask him some questions. That’s when I start telling him that the stock market is a ponzi scheme and that the only reason to buy stocks is to resell them at a markup. I give him the whole run down on market volatility and black boxes making it virtually impossible to use the stock market as a get rich easy scheme and how real estate investments are much better. I then explain to him how the economy at large is a ponzi scheme. I call it “ponzi scheme economics.” The dollar only has as much value as people assign to it. So if I am selling a product for a price a person can decide those dollars aren’t worth that product. So other people get to decide how much YOUR money is worth, and that’s a scary proposition but it’s the reality of capitalism. That’s analogous to how the stock market works and since we’ve established the stock market is a scam we’ve now established that the economy at large is a scam. PS leftists will whine the capitalism favors the rich meanwhile consumers control the value of the dollar and they are too dumb to realize it.

Being the expert scam-spotter that I am, I have to warn you that zerg is an mmr scam. All you do as a zerg GM is transfer MMR from GM terrans to masters 2 protoss players.
Yeah thats kinda the sad part about it. Protoss is the creative race but sadly got knocked down in all departments. I have enjoyed tvz years and years and years but its pretty repetitive. We have the new cyclone now, allowing for new playstyles but other than that its the same thing over and over again. Its cool to see if its serral vs maru because there is constant action where both play brilliantly but idk something like kelazhur vs lambo is just boring after all those years.
yeah thats also true. its about playing meta and destroying as many workers as possible while guarding all your workers as best as possible. its pretty much obvious what a player will do. if its not meta strat 1 its meta strat 2 or 3 even below pro scene.

Yeah basically they deleted any “gotcha” wins from the game, and protoss had a lot of those. I don’t know if they had the most, because terran had a lot. Cannon rush, proxy robo, dt openers, etc.
IMO the cyclone is very weak. The pro players just haven’t adapted yet. The issue is that it’s committed. What makes bio strong is that if it is going to lose a fight it can abandon ship and get out of there via medivacs. Cyclones don’t have that synergy because they cost gas and delay your starport production, are bulkier & harder to pick up, and take up more slots in the medivacs so you can pick up fewer of them. What this means is that they are hyper vulnerable to a big surround and crashing banes into them. It’s as easy as setting up a flank. You keep the banes defense and the lings swing around the back and you sandwich him.
That’s very true but many games don’t even do that. There are basically five ways to win. One is a timing attack. That rarely works if the opponent is scouting so it’s irrelevant. Two is base denial. You pick which base is hardest for them to secure and you deny it repeatedly. Three is efficiency aka trading better. Four is getting lucky with harass, aka doing damage to mineral lines or killing a critical upgrade. Number five is a base trade which is also rare.
SC2 really isn’t a complicated game because you eliminate the timing attack via scouting blind counter or split the difference of two counters. Being relentless with the scouting is hard unless your apm is high. Base denial is easy as well. You counter attack and secure the base while they are distracted. Obviously a counter attack is better with better apm. Efficiency trading is a matter of complex army control, which is an APM thing. Getting lucky with harass happens because your opponent makes a multitasking mistake and was out of position. Base trade is a multitasking mistake because managing your assets on both sides of the map is basically APM.
So really to win it’s just spamming apm.
All those players switched to Terran ever since the cyclone rework. I finally played against the revered Akrij build and accidently won by building 2 reapers.

What do you mean? With no doubt terran is now the cheesiest race of all time (well actually it has always been). If the community thinks for 1 sec about it realistically everyone would know. But sadly they dont.
The race with literally 2 rax, 3 rax AND EVEN 4 RAX now (who was that who did the build vs zerg in katowice? byun?) proxy vs any race since forever, who also can go proxy any other building too (factory/starport) who had the “all in” meta of raven tank push for idk how long and now also a huge variety of cyclone cheeses.
Meanwhile every cheese from protoss has been nerfed besides cannon rush, because this is a vs protoss issue only meaning no one wants to fix it.

I have 2 accounts on 4.5k/4.6k:

with one account i basically had done the placement matches and needed to rank up to 4.5k and that was done in 9 matches.
On the other account i just played the placement matches that related the matches to my main race (so i had to win 5 matches against 4200 to 5100 mmr). I won 4/5 of them and i would even have won the last match, but it was a tvt and akrij is horrible against terran. I played without starport so i lost because the terran had one tank. I think i would have won if i used my refinded build with starport but whatever. Anyway i got placed 4.5k.
Now i have 2 accounts with terran on 4.5k/4.6k and even a win against 5,150 mmr eu (pretty much at least gm NA at this point; a top 0.8% player)
I think i have proven my point. I think i have disproven your point. But i can continue if you wish. But its a bit embarrassing at this point no? Since you cannot prove that you have an account on 4.4k with protoss or zerg. You claimed you do and you claimed that not picking terran would grant +400 mmr which means if you are a 4k terran you should be 4.4k toss/zerg, no? I have done my part. Its your turn now
