Error BLZGFX0001: Graphics device unavailable

Error BLZGFX0001: Graphics device unavailable due to external interference. Please close any other programs which could affect your video performance or rendering (such as recording software) and then restart StarCraft II.

Not sure why this is happening, I have updated drivers, turned off any programs that may try to record audio/video while playing even closed out programs completely, and restarted computer multiple times.

I noticed this happens both when I minimize the game (alt + tab) and reopen the game, as well as changing certain settings in-game like going from fullscreen to windowed (fullscreen) I also tried changing refresh rate from blank to 240 and every time this error pops up, after crashing and reopening the settings I tried to change don’t save.

However I can change settings like texture quality and graphics quality just fine, they were set to high and changed to low.

Nothing is running in the background other then needed programs like, Razor central for my mouse, Windows security, and battle.net. No other games have this probably, Specifically Starcraft 2,

Here are some of my PC parts:
Graphics card - Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060
Processor - Intel(R) Core™ i7-10700KF CPU @ 3.80GHz
Monitor - Alienware AW2720HF 27" LCD
RAM - 32 GB
OS - Windows 10 64-bit
and over 1tb of disk space.

Maybe decrease your system refresh rate (SC2 is old, maybe it’s shocked by a rate as high as 240), or check that cables are plugged properly.
Is your Win10 Home or Pro?

Those are the only things I can think of, considering what you’ve already made sure of.

Update: Found the fix to the problem, so after a couple weeks of looking for a solution I found one that listed fullscreen as the culprit. Apparently there is some type of bug causing my game to crash anytime I minimize while the game is set in fullscreen. Unfortunately anytime I tried to change it to windowed borderless in-game it would crash the game. Luckily I have a 3rd party program (Geforce Experience) that allows me to change the in-game settings. Now I am able to minimize and reopen the game without it crashing. Thanks

Thank you so much this helped me as well
