The things I’ve tried are;
Repair of SC2
Reinstalling DX Runtimes
Used DDU to do a clean install of graphics drivers

Any help would be awesome!

Hey Alexis,

Are you using/have OneDrive active? If so, it interfers with SC2’s file system. See this article on how to unsync specific folders from OneDrive.

You’ll want to either unsync your Documents folder, or, if it won’t let you, unsync the Starcraft II folder inside it.

Hi Leviathan,

Thanks for the reply. I did have OneDrive installed and it wouldn’t let me deselect the Documents folder (kept giving me an error that OneDrive was my Docs folder or something) so I uninstalled OneDrive completely.

I’m still getting the same error. I downloaded the SC2 folder that I had on OneDrive but that still didn’t work. I’ve now done an uninstall and reinstall and no change.

I have noticed that the install hasn’t created a SC2 in the Documents folder but I am not sure if it does that unless you get into the game and change settings etc?

Thanks!

That unfortunately won’t work. Uninstalling it doesn’t restore the file structure to its native state, so the game will still malfunction.

That can happen. In that case go inside the Documents folder and unsync just the Starcraft II folder.

To do that you’ll need to reinstall OneDrive and then unsync the Starcraft II folder. From there, you can uninstall OneDrive again if you want (it’s not required).
