For me, Starcraft 2 has now started to randomly “freeze” every few seconds during gameplay for 2-4 seconds or so, it’s unplayable.
A lot of people have suggested that it might be due to ISP/internet throttling, however, I am not playing online. Upon review of my rainmeters, I see that the issue is related to one CPU thread spinning up hard every few seconds, whereas there’s almost no activity on the GPU itself, although it is being used somewhat during gameplay. I have the graphics settings in the game set to low, I just updated to the latest game ready drivers through GeForce Experience, issue persists.
I’m wondering if I’m missing something in the Nvidia Control Panel maybe, or this could be a result of CPU performance throttling re: CPU core temperature???
Any suggestions?
