lol, based on what? Feelings?
LOL
As if a widow mine drop is even remotely as powerful as a warp prism. They shoot once and if the protoss reacts properly only get 4 probe kills. A warp prism on the other hand claims the entire terran main base. It kills all reinforcements. It kills all workers. It seizes the Terran’s production. It kills all the terran’s supply structures. It seizes the high-ground and completely reverses the defender’s “advantage” into the defenders disadvantage. All for zero risk thanks to warpgate (warp prism doesn’t have to carry the cargo it delivers) and recall (any cargo delivered can be instantly saved on a moments notice).
I know how to counter-attack as my opponent does a move out! I am worthy of beating world-class Terran players!
(wipes drool off face)
LOL, blessed the simple-minded ones. Units should be seen in the context of their role and the tasks that they are called to perform. This guy takes the approach of making units…equal opportunity clown-fiesta.
Eh, I’m an adult, not going to start mocking him or whatever - but they’ve got to realize that when it comes to game design, unless you have a very objective and pragmatic mindset, going off of feelings is a bad idea because humans are inherently biased, it’s our nature.
That’s why, realistically, game balance and map selection should be lead by people with a background in statistical analysis, because they have the education to look at the variables that are displayed in Blizzard’s internal statistics, make sense of it and then look at tournament statistics and draw reasonable, correlative conclusions - additionally, they need the power to tell everyone to pound sand while they make big changes.
The only time feels should be a variable is when there’s design issues. Like the Tankivac…sure it was “balanced” but it was so obnoxious and anti-fun while compromising the entire theme of the Siege Tank. So it was removed despite statistics showing it was okay. Super armor Ultras, Tempests and the Mothership Core were also units that were adjusted/removed based on feels - but it was because they were problematic in the sense of limiting meta diversity or stifling future design or balance changes. The win rates didn’t really support adjusting them but common sense did.
Well, overall usage is a pretty good indicator of its state in the game, the less is is used the worst it is.
Thats why we never see microbial shroud for instance… cause its terrible…
Issue with that is metas evolve from under utilized units or strategies and if you always wait for the players to break something, you’re forever behind the 8 ball, being reactive isn’t enough. Sometimes you need to be proactive.
Then guess we’ll just have to wait for some genius to finally finds that MS is actually good! Oh boy cant wait for that to happen…
I get that not all units can be useful in every situations. But some are in better spot than others.
Sure its debatable and you dont need to agree either, thats why we have this forum… but your just here to troll and bring nothing constructive…
Terran. Does not deserve. Equal opportunities as protoss have? Proof goba is bias troll… all he speak is hate of terrans. And other nonsense…
Story that is long. Made shorter. Batz is correct… protoss is op…
XD XD XD
Yes. Because. It is worst terran on earth. That win blizzcon. Against 8 armor ultras… too much nonsense…
So op cant win anything from 2017 all about major tournament
You can if you play Mech in TvP…no other way to dump the minerals.
People need to start playing battlemech openings.
Now even mass cyclone witch thor is a mech or just mass cyclone lol
What are you smoking? You can go any unit comp you want to vs protoss. Just don’t expect to win a game basically ever if it’s anything other than bio.
Nah hellbat thor cost more trouble then mmm without god shot dizruptors even battery wont save
Nailed it; if Hellbat Thor is out you MUST get Disruptors. No other realistic option.
Horde of immortal witch stalkers and dizruptors
Disruptors hard counter mech to an extreme. Liberators are terran’s only answer, but they’ve recently been nerfed plus terran is at a SEVERE apm disadvantage vs disruptor blink stalkers.
You can also do blinkstalkers and run around like mad, picking off out of position thors and thinning the hellbat count. You can go mass zealot and set up a flank from behind where the hellbats aren’t. You can mass loads of immortals. You can get 3 colossi and thin the hellbat count until mass chargelot a-moves over the thors. You can go dts and spread the dts out and make him waste scans and lose eco until he is forced to push (then send dts 1 at a time to kill his army as it moves out). Heck even storm is great with how slow hellbats are. Just don’t go air vs thors and the protoss auto wins barring horrific unit control / positioning / macro.
In simpler terms, mech is steaming hot vs protoss.
