Co-Op Mutation #251: Burning Legion

Win as Stetmann, avenger enemy can’t do anything to my broodling thaks to Karax heal + my own heal (15 heal/s)
The problem is Void Rift but we manage to control them in around the mid game

Took 13 attempts to won this brutation. So hard to me and wonder is it worth just for 1 bounty.

First-shot it as Zagara P1 with an awesome HH P1 ally. We were both surprised we got it on first run. I even wasted 2-3 minutes trying to get the bonus but the distraction cost my ally his expo. So then we decided to yolo the last lock and finish it off.

(I hate the Void Rifts mutator, mostly coz it spawns at 2:20 instead of 3:30 or 4:00. And also coz if the Rift spawns inside or behind an enemy base, makes it harder to kill it fast coz you have to have an army to engage a base you would otherwise not need to engage or engage later. So the mutator also breaks mission progression.)

Advantage of Zag (P1) is - while you can’t just take and hold a lock with heavy units (like in speedruns) you can clear a lot of the enemy bases with the same effort as regular brutal with Zag P1. That gives easier access to the rifts which spawn in those areas.

I’d recommend this CO combo for those without pro-skills or optimal play styles. Both can attack rifts and both can clear bases, even if doing it sub-optimally. That’s an easier solution to a difficult Brutation, than just “git gud”.

my go-to response to every void rift mutation is abathur and it went pretty well this time as well. I went p0 abby, ally was p2 tychus. It took a little longer than I would have liked due to me and my ally not being fully in sync but I don’t think we were in danger at any point in the game.

Did it with Zagara P1 level 13, in full Casual mode (ally too in Casual).
Despite the lack of Hydra Banelings (cut one down, 2 others grow) and Bullet Time Zerglings (through mastery) that can be felt, it went well.
At some points, I thought the rifts were spawning right in the hidden bases in the extremities of the maps, but instead they were spawning a bit closer than that in unexpected corners, so no maximum danger.
Got the bonus, and burying zerglings was as helpful as ever.

I don’t like Lock&Load, so I don’t feel the need to push myself at attempting it in Normal, especially with the significant probability of running into a…bad ally, to stay polite.

Keep getting an AFK troll. Or the guy lifts his command center off and a-moves all this workers to the middle of the map.

Wait was he a barcode and playing Raynor? Because he did the same garbage to me just then!

I just experience the same things what Uther went through, I’m wondering if it is same guy.
Yeah, Barcode names are so common because they can do whatever the heck they wand and get away with it because the name itself is almost indistinguishable and there are so so many of them.

There are a few different |||||||| guy I’ve come across, so it might not be the same guy.

I’ve seen in my days, a guy’s tag like that plays quite well to average to AFK. I can’t say for sure it’s not the same guy but I just assumed that someone’s skill can’t be that different.

He wasn’t a barcode. Haven’t ran into as many barcodes in co op.

whew…beat it with P3 lvl 9 Zagara on hard. Just teleported everywhere with Zagara, or tried to, ally was a random mastery Tychus, Zagara died once, almost got overrun but ally cleaned up the enemies and we were able to clutch it out with Zagara on 1 base and a 69% overload, nice, on the first try actually.
