Co-Op Mutation #233: Death is Fleeting

getting jumpers and chokers comp is super lame

Before trying this with p1 Karax (who is winning cotw, don’t ask me why), p1 karax lags the game horribly whenever his turrets are attacking, which is about all the time on this mutation, and using the chrono boost is asking to get lagged out, so consider that before trying this prestige on the mutation. And I am not talking about slight lag, this is about the same level of lag as pre pre nerf stetmann infestors, only coming from the karax turrets.

I don’t think it’s cannons that are lagging, but the pathfinding. Cannon Karax players are notorious of creating a barely passable (or completely unpassable) cannon wall, which makes the pathfinding algorithms go crazy trying to figure out a way through. With this many units on the map at once, it creates massive fps drops.

This is my experience as well. It’s tough. Got completely smashed on my first attempt. I was using P2 Kerrigan, had an Abby ally. They went for viper/reanimater cheese, but once Kerry got choked we were done.

Did somewhat better with an Alarak ally, but we still got overwhelmed on night 2.

Then I tried Nova P3, and I got a Mengsk ally. Got really close, only had ~25 buildings left. But then my mineral line got smashed, our defenses were overrun, and that was that.

This mission is extremely unforgiving. The stream of units makes it nearly impossible to re-establish a defensive line once it starts to fall.

It’s actually the buffed buildings, with enough buildings you will be lagging even when there is nothing in the map.

What’s the strategy with Zeratul P2. Mass cannons and no units?

Even SpiritTV is upset at the Brutation. It’s just… Oh my god. Void Reanimators were a mistake.

Finally got it with an organized party with my partner. Abathur + P1 Karax. We put the stupid Void Reanimators into gay baby jail and then the rest was just me getting everything online and them pushing around.

Did you rush out lurkers?

Not too bad. Did it as a level 8 P2 Swann and a level 11 P1 Vorazun. Swann can defend on his own basically forever, and the extra gas helps vorazun make quick work of the buildings.

No it’s not. Units revived by Just Die! will still burn out, but the units reanimated by Void Reanimators do not.

Considering that you didn’t specify between the two, it’s pretty much is.

Your upgrades are unlimited. With masteries, you will get upgrades quicker.
Infested has low attack = deal almost 0 damage.

You made the assumption that they are one and the same. It’s on you for not asking, and certainly on you for accusing someone of outright lying.

“it is pretty much is”

Look sir/madam, I appreciate a good honest correction. I make these posts on my own, and they contain a lot of sections so I am bound to miss out on stuff from time to time. And I make corrections when they are spotted. What I do not appreciate is some arrogant nitpicker who just comes in and instead of trying to find out where the source of his/her own confusion might have come from, prefers to outright accuse someone of being a liar.

Played this map with my P1 Karax and my ally Swann P1. I’m on the defensive while Swann go offensive using mass Wraith. It was very close. We have about 5 infested structures to deal with but they overwhelmed us. =(

I probably skip this one because of insane lag.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised at the comment too initially. Thought it was more for a sensational eye catching to highlight it. What really got me is the after fact still defending it.

I don’t think it’s a big deal.

Did it, but holy molly, the lag is unreal. Finish it asap. I believe h&h would do wonders

He’s just salty and lashing out at people. All of his comments in this thread have been like that.

Didn’t even make it through the first night xD. Didn’t have a chance. I was planning on making them, but I wasn’t rushing.

For the record, I started it when I said it was not what I experienced.
But I would defend the statement that “what you wrote is wrong”.
That should be the correct way to say it, rather than talking about lies.
