A prototype mass cloaking field has disrupted your entire view of the battlefield. Not only can you not see the enemy, your forces also have difficulty seeing anything in front of them. You cannot delay the operation now as Sgt. Hammer’s Fortress needs to be saved urgently.
Darkness - Previously explored areas remain blacked out on the minimap while outside of player vision.
Shortsighted - Player units and structures have reduced vision range.
We Move Unseen - All enemy units are permanently cloaked.

Other Notes:
- Attack waves are not marked on the minimap.
- Void Thrashers are not cloaked.
- Zeratul’s Xel’Naga Watchers and Raynor’s scans are immune to short-sighted.
- Shortsighted also affects buildings.
- Enemy buildings are not cloaked.
- The Aleksander steals the vision of enemy units it controls.

Stetmann makes this mutation EZ mode, he counters every single mutator just by playing him correctly. I won with ultralisks, banelings, even battlecarrier lords. Anything he does works.

Huh Stettelites provide vision … that’s so OP!

ewwww. This doesnt sound hard at all just annoying as all hell.
Dehaka and Nova obvious commanders of the week here.
try stetmann, he counters every single mutator by just playing him. also wouldn’t recommend dehaka because of unreliable detection

You need a lot of macro to set up the whole network, so I’d say that’s fair.
Oh right… Shortsightedness!
A few solos, because as people said this mutation isn’t incredibly hard.

But much less than spreading creep tumors … that get cleared by enemy waves.
But anyway, if Zeratuls observers are completely unaffected, now THAT’S op, considering that he also gets the +range upgrade (I wish Karax could get that one … and other goodies that Zeratul has and that are better versions of Karax stuff)

I wonder why only Zeratul’s detection unit is immune.
Whatever the case that works out because I’m using Zeratul to level to 90.

Pretty easy. Went Mengsk with ESO’s, and had turrets in key places to give detection. Also stopped the first attack wave with bunker and turret.

The Xel’naga Watcher’s artifact 3 upgrade adds a flat increase to vision range on the unit.
Kerrigan + Dehaka
Once dehaka got the detector, we just steamrolled.
Almost no units made
Kerri shockwave was killing almost everything
Makes you wonder wut DO they do in the shadows? They making babies or wut?
This week’s brutation good for leveling up blue level commanders. Very easy mutation
or maybe even holding hands

[shrug] It’s part of his toolbelt. No different than how Karax has an easier time spreading Pylons, or how Kerrigan can liberally spawn Omega Worms.
But that would not make them immune, just less affected.
Well but it’s not hard so not “a lot of”, just plain macro
Anyway, I have to admit I confused Darkness and Afraid of the dark so I thought it provides vision when otherwise you have to look there with your camera.

Did it with Stetmann (Brutal) and a random ally as Artanis (Brutal).
Extremely easy mutation this week, especially with Stetmann.
Play as usual and upgrade Gary asap, until then make a spore crawler and use it to detect for your units to push out.
Mass zerglings/corruptors, speed moving everywhere, ez pez.
