Finally beat it at 6th attempts. I played as Artanis and went with Zealot Phoenix strategy. I have Tychus as my ally. Game went pretty smooth. We destroyed all the Zenith Stones and even killed double Thrasher. Around 30 sec countdown, the enemies started to overwhelm us. Lost my army and my ally lost all of his Outlaws. We got lucky since the timer went to 0 and won the game.
Didn’t kerri’s kills still drop biomass ?
What’s the cheese? …
Just an FYI for anyone who doesn’t know, the Void Thrasher actually benefits from Avenger stacks and it can become problematic when you’re fighting an attack wave near a Thrasher, and it stacks like to 20k health and shields…
It’s not about whether it drops biomas, but how much. Toxic Nests kills drop more biomass than ally’s kills.
Think I might run, Fenix or Tychus this week.
I want to run Swann, but I have a feeling those early waves are going to be BRUTAL, so you’re gonna need some strong early game to handle it. Swann unfortunately, takes a bit to get his defenses up, he needs a decent siege tank count, and especially with Just Die! as a mutation, Tanks lose most of their advantage: the ability to kill from a distance.
I’d consider running Kerrigan, but if I get an air comp, that will be really hard for her to deal with with these mutations.
Don’t do Tychus. While he is mobile, he struggles to kill the wave. Fenix is a better choice. Tychus can just stall later on.

Fenix was my first choice anyway.
Just be sure to roll a weaker ground comp or else life will be hell for you.
I mean, that’s true in general for Temple of the Past anyway isn’t it?
Not really. In Brutation it is, but this one especially. My first shot was with an Alarak/Fenix combo vs Arbiter/Reaver/Archon Protoss and we got stomped mid-late game. In the Tychus game, we got lucky that I had enough power to help hold off some waves against Roach/Ravager. Medium and high tier units are absurdly scary.
Also, the Hybrids LOVE to ignore you after respawning. It’s super annoying.
ewww. That does sound annoying.
They just scooted on past my army and I had to chase them down. They’ll ignore units and structures and go find something else to poke.
Just solidifies my judgement that Swann isn’t the guy this week.
No, having decent-ish mobility and good sustained damage is key. That’s why I chose Alarak this week, orbs are good at chunking things down, and bigger targets just eat Mind Blasts.
Or when the surface area of your army exceeds a few square centimetres. That is WAY more threatening than looking away from your army in the case of lava bursts.
In which case, Tychus is still the best CO for handling it.
Kerri is the best. 1 hero takes up much less space than 5. Other units just sit in omega network until needed.
She’s definitely a good choice, but I don’t think she’s better. That’s an opinion though, if you recommended Kerrigan for this mutation, I wouldn’t argue with it.
It looked like u were talking about lava thing. Abathur is the most powerful for current brutation.
