Creatures of the void descend upon Augustgrad. They emerge from strange rifts and are unusually durable. Close the rifts to save the Dominion.

Void Rifts - Void Rifts periodically appear in random locations and spawn enemy units until destroyed.
Just Die! - Enemy units are automatically revived upon death.

I always thought it rolls around Monday, 2am, PST, but it seems to vary from one week to another
.
Hmm, it would appear anybody who can push well should be fine here (“If brute force doesn’t work, then you’re not using enough of it”), but with a Brutal+5 rating, I’m not so sure now.
Think it’s around Monday, 3-3:30 am Region-Server Time.
For Asia, it’s already rolling. Usually from around @ 3-3:30 am in KR. Today’s may have been late.
Yep.
I hate rifts, no matter the combo…

You and me both. I’m going to 100% cheese this one, once it becomes available.

Easy Pickings With Abathur (Brutals) and Dehaka (WurmS)
But Seriously… The Rifts pop up wayy too early (2:20)
Zeratul + HnH. The first 4 rifts are the hardest. But once HnH gets their striker platforms up and running, the other rifts are simple to deal with.

Most of what I’ve seen is it cycles at 3AM PST; though it usually stops you from playing the current Mutation at 2AM, so you have an hour of downtime.

This one is plain stupid, I’d rather fight speed freak poops that are invisible than this mess

Is it possible to cheese it with Arcturus?
If so, babysit him for the first minutes and gtg
I’m thinking Stukov or Karax (both should be able to have at least a bunker / cannon ready by the time first wave / void rift spawns and from there it should be easy game) paired with HH for void rift snipe. Main objectives should be np.

Played Stuk with solid HH part and it was intense but not too bad. Their call downs for early d and pushing timed well with rifts spawning. Rushing bunk and strikes then spreading bunks across map with most by the bridge was perfect counter to void rifts and waves. I hadn’t realized before how stuk can really defend most of a map with spread bunkers.
Thx for the tip, artanis makes the game much easier.
Anybody had this mutation bug out where you’d have random mutations and none of the ones listed for this weekly? I had 4 random ones and when I started playing, I thought to myself maybe I clicked Brutal+ but it was Brutal and after I finished it, it said weekly complete.

It was due to one of the players selecting brutal+ difficulty for weekly mutation, which will cause the brutal+ mutators to override the weekly mutation’s mutators.
They need to fix that already…

I’m curious if the developers intended to make the rift spawn time to be 3:20 instead of curent 2:20. I mean aside from Zagrara, Karax, Dehaka, Abathur, other commanders don’t have much breather.

Karax + Mengsk is another comp that works well. Karax should remember to drop energizers by the ESOs.

Did it with Dehaka and a pretty good Artanis ally who were very active on the map and not afraid to suicide zealots in order to snipe a rift.
Built 2 lings early, going Warden before gas so I could take out first rifts faster.
Went into mutas with a few wurms and swarmhost as defence against trickles, the latter so locusts could soak up damage and the wurms wouldn’t be ground down. Makes for a nice hands-off defence.
Greater Primal Wurms are nice to take out rifts since they can be spawned in explored fog of war, so I always go with that mastery.
One can easily take out a rift If you channel and then shift attack on rift so it doesn’t get distracted by spawning units.
Really, once you have a small muta swarm up and access to calldowns it becomes almost easy. It’s just getting to that point that can be tough.
This Brutation is absolutely retarded and I hate it. I’m on my 12th try and the game keeps dicking us with long range rifts that CANNOT be reached, causing a game state where it is impossible to push and the waves overrun the base.
This is why I hate Brutal+ and Brutation on concept. You get stupid stuff like this and it’s impossible.
