Ouch, that’s terrible luck there Sprite. Have you tried Mengsk yet? He made it a lot easier to get the stupid ones hiding at the back of a base.
This one was annoying with some of the compositions because they spawn so early on this map. One of my games had classic mech which sent 10 vultures with spider mines before the 3 minute mark. Managed to finally do it as Karax with a good Vorazun partner.
I remember rifts on this map being ez mode with fenix karax combo. Just early obs with fenix and karax snipes with spear. Then after first couple rifts done go from there with cannons and vision all over. Ez
I’ve played Raynor, Mengsk, Vorazun, Dehaka, and Tychus. The furthest I got was the third set of Shards before the waves became too unbearable and I threw in the towel. The fact that they can spawn in and so damn close to your base makes it’s ridiculously frustrating, on top of it being a 2:20 spawn, which is more or less a 6 pool.
I’ve given up on this week’s Brutation. I don’t want to suffer anymore and wind up uninstalling the game out of sheer frustration.
Do you not watch the replay in the 1st post?
Yep, I did. Still lost. Even juggling my rallies and ESOs, etc… They were still just too much.
For me getting a competent ally made a huge difference. I used mandate mainly for bunker drops next to rifts and my Karax ally defended and sniped rifts.
Yeah, it’s only a game and shouldn’t be ruined by frustration. Go and smack Amon with Dehaka, he’s always a good way to let out frustration. GL!
Recommended Commander for this week is anyone who can kill rifts anywhere on the map. That mean: Abathur, Zeratul, Kerrigan, Stukov(With max mastery point in Apocalisk), Raynor(With max point in drop pod speed)…
If you can keep killing rift before anything spawn, then it is very easy. Anything that doesn’t involve “Killing void rift within 5s after they spawn” is not recommended.
Also Mensgk, Artanis, & Karax. With Artanis/Karax you need to set up observers and be aware of the locations you need to cover.
I’d rather just nuke him from orbit!
…Or you know, let Alarak run wild on him.
Having them spawn close to your base actually make it easier, since you can then just snipe them immediately if you have units ready, which you should.
Maybe try doing it with Abathur?
Dehaka is pretty decent also. The struggle is just to survive the first minutes. After that, mutas and Greater Wurms can help snipe rifts, and calldowns take care of waves/bases.
The severe lack of Biomass and Essence makes it more difficult. Especially once you get a massive wave built up before you have laser breath.
This mutation requires being very active on the map, never let the rifts build up, why I get faster warden and build lings for extra dps, as well as unrooting warden, and the ‘lazer breath’ doesn’t really matter, you should have calldowns and mutas at that point anyway.
The Mutation with Mengsk Eso Cheese and the Help of Eddie. Its German.
I saw the Cheese in CTG´s Video. And to CTG i can say, its awesome what he make Mutation for Mutation with so many Commanders. Everytime when i see CTG´s Videos i say WOW. Please support CTG because he make a awesome Job every Mutation The Video from Eddie you find in the Info-Card.
Took me more than 20 times to beat this mutation.
So far I tried Raynor, Kerrigan, Zagara, Karax, Swann, Tychus, and Artanis. I’d have to say Artanis/Karax or Swann would be the easiest and doable combination to beat it. Any other commanders and you’d have to be very active in order to win the mutation.
Tried a variance of Karax, Zeratul, and Vorazun with different levels of competence. While playing Vorazun, got matched with a Han/Horner and did pretty well. Asked to group and try again, had a false start in the second game, then took the win in the third. Was almost ready to say screw it and give up for the week.
Han and Horner + Karax makes this pretty easy. Strike fighters don’t need visable LoS to bomb Void Rifts so you can just bomb them into dust. Karax player uses a mirage to quickly get around the map for vision to Orbital strike. ez
Do energizers next to strike platforms speed them up?
Nope, because it’s a cooldown gated calldown with no attack speed. Energizers don’t speed up ability cooldowns.
Tried Abathur and he just got overwhelmed because he can’t heal his Brutalisk fast enough.
