CLIENTSIDECACHE_READ_CONNECTION_FAILED - Support Gave Up

Hello everyone,

Ive wanted to get back into the game so bad, but I am just unable to make it work.

Inbetween contacting support, looking up and trying out fixes, Ive already spent around 10 hours trying to make this work and after contacting Blizzard Support and trying all of their fixes, they told me there is nothing they can do to help me and that I should contact the forum.

I am so miserable and sad I cant even get help to try and play the game.

Here is what I tried so far:

  1. Verify Game Files (skip if app is having issues or game is not installed)
If you’re using the Blizzard Battle.net launcher, select your game, open the “Options” menu, and choose “Scan and Repair.” This can fix problems caused by missing or corrupted files.

  2. Reinstall the Game/App (Skip if the app is not installed or if you are fresh installing a game)
If all else fails, uninstalling and reinstalling can resolve deeper file issues. Restart your computer between uninstall and reinstall for best results.

  3. Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings
Sometimes security programs can accidentally block Blizzard games or services. Adding exceptions for Blizzard’s executables or required ports can help.

  4. Restart Your Computer and Router/Modem
A quick restart of your networking equipment can often clear up temporary issues.

  5. Disable Background Applications
Other programs running in the background—especially those that use a lot of resources can cause slowdowns or connectivity problems.

  6. Flush DNS Cache and Reset Network Configuration
Refreshing your network settings can remove conflicts that affect your connection.

  7. Update Graphics Drivers and Windows
Keeping your graphics drivers and operating system up to date can make a big difference in stability and performance. Updated drivers often include optimizations that help games run more smoothly.

  8. Create a New Administrator Account
Corrupted user profiles or permission issues can sometimes prevent Blizzard games from running correctly (I didnt try this one, eventhough Blizzard Support mentioned it, as I dont feel like creating a 2nd user profile on my PC just for SC2, if you feel me)

On top of all of these I have also tried to delete the %appdata%, %localfiles% and %programfiles% Blizzard Entertainment folders and SC2 Folders, forcing it to load up caches again, but to no avail.

I am rocking two disks on my laptop, the main is C:/, but D:/ has more space and that is where SC2 is installed, eventhough some of the cache files got created on C:/ regardless (not sure this could be an issue, just thought Id mention everything)

If anyone is capable of helping, you would be a messiah capable of more than blizzard (which isnt much, but hey, I would love you)

Thank you in advance,

Anchanel
