Can't save campaign progress

Hey there, I recently reinstalled SC2 and was going to just go through completing achievements etc. but I’ve come to find I can’t save my progress. It says save successful but then there is no save file to load back to etc. It also thinks I’m launching the game for the first time everytime.

I have done everything I have found from older forum posts with no luck. I also only have one drive in my computer so I feel like it some weird pathing thing or something’. If I am able to change its save location then this would be easy lol.

(Edit: I also am having an issue where no matter which campaign I choose it just shows the nova covert ops stuff and only lets me play that. Still cant save it unfortunately.)

this is a familiar issue. here is the explanation: the game fails to save to system folder. running it as administrator should solve the problem.

I had tried that in the past looking at other forum posts but it did not work. I just gave it another try after reinstalling battle.net and the game and unfortunately no cigar. Same issues have persisted.

that suggests that some kind of folder setting is preventing the game from writing to the folder.
