Can't play arcade game in offline mode

I am trying to play a custom arcade game in offline mode so that i can save and load it anytime. How do I start a new custom arcade game in offline mode? I tried clicking on the gear next to the map name and it does not offer offline mode, I tried numerous different ways to start starcraft 2 in offline mode, but all methods have failed (it only allows full online mode or nothing). Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to play a custom arcade map in offline mode?

First, you need to download it from online client just by picking any arcade map you want to play. When going offline mode it will be there since the game will access map files on your computer.

By not downloading them you will see grey out buttons.

If you do have arcade maps download and still not working I recommend you use scan and repair.

My original post also points out that I can’t get into offline mode. Again, I tried numerous different ways to get into offline mode, but none of them worked.

You’re saying that if I can get into offline mode, then the game will be available for me to start in offline mode? I’m pretty sure I have the game on my computer already because I played it a bunch of times as recently as yesterday.

Again, part of the problem is that I cannot get into sc2 offline mode. I tried logging in, logging out, disconnecting internet, and logging in again. I tried disconnecting internet and attempting to log in. I tried those steps with and without the battle.net client open. I tried those steps with the battle.net client initially opened, then close before disconnecting from internet. I tried same method, except closing client after disconnecting from internet. Those are just like 6 examples of what I tried. I tried probably about 10 other ways that I read about in Google searches and blue posts from the past. None of the methods worked. I can’t get into sc2 offline mode.

My apologies I somehow skip over that part about you trying to access offline mode.

Here’s the steps:

  1. Make sure you’re disconnect from the client and you will see two plugs trying to connect by your name. Make sure they don’t plug into each other.

  2. Select starcraft 2 and let it run

  3. The main menu will appear for you to login information. Enter all information then hit enter. A message will appear asking you to go online or play offline. Hit offline.

  4. Once in you can play whatever maps you have downloaded to your computer.

when i do the above i get a message that says…contact blizzard services to authorize game client, etc

I can’t help you there but it sound like something else is interfering that is giving you that error. Try ask around or contact customer support. Hope you your problem get fix. =)
