I am able to “Save successfully” according to the game; however, I can’t then open the saved game. No save method works. The save game folder, instead of being in the documents folder where I think it normally should be, is in the main StarCraft II folder in the Support64 subfolder. That subfolder has its own StarCraft II subfolder that then contains the Account and Save Game folders. However, if you open the save game folders, all of them have their own StarCraft II folders which start the loop back over again, so you have to go through StarCraft II > Account> Save Games etc, and then finally the files are in that last set of folders. I can see the files in the in-game load save screen, but they give me an unable to open error. If I try to view the files in the folder from the game client, then it just takes me to the default My Computer screen. I cannot open the files from the folders directly, but the game doesn’t give me an error, it just opens without notifying me of anything.
I have tried deleting the SC II folder inside the Support64 folder several times, it’s re-made there every time I launch the game, even if I copy it to the Documents folder. None of the relevant files are read-only and I have tried running as admin.
I have tried re-installing.
The game is saving something, it knows my general campaign data, which mission i’m on etc, but I can’t do any saves in between.
Please help, thank you.
