Cannot download any map

I recently had to reset my PC after a windows 10 update issue. I’ve got everything reinstalled and updated. I reinstalled SC2, allowed it through the firewall and have it (and the launcher) running with admin privileges. I have also tried using the repair tool, and running in 32bit mode.

When I boot up the game, everything seems to load fine (profile, chat, thumbnails, background etc). However, when I go into the arcade, I cannot download any of the maps. It will always say “Downloading… [insert random %]”, hovering over it just reveals “Download Progress: 0/0kb”. The download never completes and I cannot play anything.

I’ve attached a winMTR below, pinging the NA server while SC2 was running and attempting to download a map.

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

Hello Panda,

The WinMTR data makes it look like the PC was disconnected from the router while the test was running. Are you using a wifi connection, and if so can you try switching to a wired connection before testing the game again?

Since you had to reinstall Windows I would recommend making sure that your drivers are up to date, specifically the network and display drivers.

If Windows was just reset (different than wiping the harddrive and reinstalling a fresh copy) there may be left over folders. Try clearing out the Blizzard cache and then test downloading maps again.

You may want to try creating a new administrator account in Windows and then log in with that account to see if any maps will download when trying Starcraft 2 there.

Hope this helps!
