My idea for Rohana as a commander for co-op
what if Rohanas remnant conclave and reclaimed warriors never severed their nerve coords? They are volatile but strong fighters who use the khala to its max and even attempt to turn amons strength against him.
The setup:
Rohana has a supply counter for her protoss army and one for controlling the hybrid. when the hybrid exceed their supply count they become non-responsive.
she also has a unique dark energy bar that goes up over time AND when certain abilities are used.
The more hybrid you control, the faster it rises but there are consequences.
top panel abilities are:
pacify hybrid - (+20 energy + 10 each use) take control of target hybrid
stasis lock - localized time stop, when used on rohannas stasis cell also stops rising of dark energy (only top ability with a cooldown)
dark boost - (+75) temporarily boosts attack of allies and some psionic abilities
Purge dark energy - (-25) purges dark energy from rohana onto a unit, changing it (cannot be used on probes, observers or preservers)
Rohanas energy bar determines many things including random hybrid spawning from your units:
<25% - khala bonuses apply - all non hybrid units have +20% chance to avoid damage, hybrid units move slowly
25%-50% - hybrid move like normal, khala bonuses gone
50%-75% - hybrid gain +1% move and attack speed for every point over 50%
more than 75% - Rohanas army becomes incapable of attacking hybrid units (you hear amons voice instead of rohanna)
100% - Rohanas hybrid units attack you and your ally and amon trash talks you (lol)
Units:
Rohannas elite units have their basic upgrades from the start.
Most of Rohannas units can become hybrid without completely losing who they were, making them extremely deadly
warp gate
Templar zealot/hybrid reaver/behemoth -
they come out the gate with normal charge
High templar Elite/hybrid destroyer/dominator -
increased attack range/damage and ability to hit air, no feedback
Preserver acolyte - no damage attack but chooses a unit at range to apply slow to, has single units stasis vs enemies
Elite archon - attacks 2 at once, 4 range
Grand archon - attacks 3 at once, 2 range
(Grand archons can only be made below 25% dark energy, and max level hybrid can only be made above 75% dark energy)
Summary
(secret easter egg: you can fuse a hybrid behemoth and dominator to make a voidshade hybrid only during dark boost with a special method. Voidshade hybrid are permanently cloaked and extremely powerful. small/light units are automatically absorbed by it just by being close & can blink into units/structures for 2000 damage.
they can be controlled for 30 seconds before it goes unresponsive and treat everyone (including amon) like an enemy on their own.
can be re-pacified for 30 seconds)
Robotics
Reaver/ tainted reaver - normal reaver, but with alternate fire that has a larger radius/range for the cost of 5 scarabs.(needs upgrade)
Alternate fire becomes tainted reavers regular attack with more range & additional stun like what the void shards fire.
Immortal/ Cybrid immortal - normal immortal, but also with artanis dragoon upgrades also. when hybridized,
their actual bodies grow and fuse with the immortal frame to make what looks like a stone zealot with
immortal cannons on its shoulders fused with a hybrid reaver! it functions like a combined
immortal and collosus on the ground and can also attack air with the immortal cannons.
they lose their shields but gain hp regeneration that doubles when its barrier activates at half health.
cybrid immortal remains don’t disappear right away and can be recovered.
observer - normal observer
Stargate
Scout/ cybrid nemesis/ (cybrid adversary?) - normal scout, but with simultaneous ground and air attack upgrade and attack while moving upgrade
Carrier/ corrupted carrier - normal carrier, but with ability to send intreceptors away. corrupted carrier can summon
temporary shade intreceptors at a location while attacking with its own also.
Unit progression

citadel of adun cache - (zealots) 3-strike charge 20 dmg per hit, phase charge
(preservers) stasis recovery (stasis can be used on allies to remove negative effects or avoid damage, light of the khala (lowers dark energy build up by 5, recquires full preserver energy) -
templar archives cache - psi super storm (+50 dmg & auto feedback on stormed units), storm aura (self storm for archons when attacked),
Champion of aiur (grand archon from 3 ht upgrade, at death they become completely melee for 3 seconds and die in a 500 damage suicide nova [throw back to lotv trailer]) -
Dark power - dark boost & purge (which unlock the various player hybrids)

Preservation - all preservers provide 2 control for hybrid up from 1

robotics bay cache - reaver alt fire upgrade, the same 2 dragoon upgrades that artanis has but for immortals

lockdown - stasis lock gets 3 charges

fleet beacon cache - (Scout) ground and air attack simultaneously, attack while moving (carrier) deploy intreceptors to location

Dark control - dark boost now adds only +50, dark purge now has 3 charges

Dark mastery - Rohana can upgrade to specify which units hybridize at random or stop it altogether

protoss fortitude - player made hybrids retain their skills as hybrid and can use more than just hybrid abilities

Hybrid mastery - Behemoth and dominator level hybrid can now be made/controlled

Grand preserver - stasis recovery on allies restores 50% health and shields to units and buildings and 25% health to heroic. light of the khala now reduces dark energy by 10
