If commanders continue to be released they’re definitely going to have to start making a lot of content from scratch as opposed to pulling from unused assets since those are running out. I sort of feel like stetmann was the last zerg commander even though his tech is supposed to be protoss/terran (mostly terran though) since he’s basically zerg. Mengsk and tychus recently came out too and since stetmann is partially terran I don’t think we’ll get a terran commander anytime soon (I kind of hate the idea of donny or kate but oh well). That makes me think protoss is mostly likely.
The only thing that worries me about that is that selendis and Ji’nara have a little bit of overlap and in doing one they could make it impossible to do the other. I love theorycrafting so… Personally for selendis i’d want her playstyle to be Elite and hero-centric starting with her as a hero zealot and maybe choosing between different super ships. for regular units they could all be expensive combined ship ideas like void-phoenixes, temp-sairs, scout or arb-servers and super-carriers. Instead of other ground units perhaps she could get that scrapped hoverboard protoss unit built from the stargate as well. If it was made with different attack modes like a hellion it could be mobile and offensive in its default and and extremely tanky support caster in its second state. You could even just call it a heavy adept that rides its larger board which doubles as a hardened shield. just post up and use the shade ability to move without leaving defensive pose while selendis chops it up… lol i’m getting too excited even though we’ll probably be let down and get a protoss air commander with no mothership, reused portraits/voices and no arbiter/mothership core etc
