Battle.net services down?

After reinstalling SC2 it keeps saying bnet services are down… I did some research and seen some posts from over a month ago but no help. Has anyone been able to fix this? It’s hard to believe this issue has been going on this long and its still happening.

make sure sc2 has its internet permissions

Your not the only one, I was able to play on eu, But this is outright absurd, either make the game playable offline or fix the servers PROPERLY

Youve said this on multiple forum comments. Its not working. Please stop suggesting a broken procedure. The us servers have been down for over 24hrs.

they are not down at all, ive been playing all day long on NA east. that makes the problem on your end, not blizzard.

ps, to who ever said about playing offline, shut your internet off and you can play offline. after you try to log in itll give you the option to do so when it fails to connect. but you need all internet off.

Fix for me:
Switch Battlenet to Betta mode in settings
Switch out of bata mode after PC reboot
Also updated to windows 11

also i should point out that blizzard wont be replying back to you, its the forums, your talking to other players trying to help you, if you dont like them trying to help you maybe try actually opening a ticket in blizzard support. cause only other players here to help you and not blizz. at best you might get leviathin to come along and say something but hes just a player with benefits.

Stop repeating false information. This is not helpful.

its a suggestion, not false info, im not telling you to do it, im telling you to make sure you have given them permission, thats all. this is just to check all boxs, but hey you all can just sit here and complain all you want and get no help, so have at it. ill keep playing while you all sit here and dont, bunch of ungrateful people

That’s too much common sense…

Youre literally commenting the same thing over and over. Like what permissions are we enabking sir? If we are able to connect to Korean and European servers, what permissions do need to enable to play on American servers? I think youre just trolling evidently American servers are just down.

some of you arent even able to log into the game mr genious, not all of you are having the same problem. if you are totally unable to log into the game then you are having a comp problem. for the ones that can log in and play in eu and ka thats a totally different problem and unrelated to the login one. you see here where your brain lacks full understanding. for those that cant log in at all they need to make sure they have everything on there comp working properly first, and alot of people dont know that sc2 requires permission to ascess the internet. see maybe if you guys wouldnt just jump on random peoples threads and make your own individual threads people can adress each of you individually for your specific problem, but again your only going to get other players here to help you with the same generic answers, cause well thats all us other players can do. again if you want blizzard to help you directly then go open a ticket with blizzard support, otherwise stop complaining about people helping you, if your posting on the forums.

I had this problem last night with logging into the NA server (but not the EU one). Here’s how I fixed it:

First, I disabled Windows Firewall (temporarily). That let me log in to the NA server. Next, I opened the task manager and found all the Blizzard-related processes running (SC2, Battle.net, etc) and I made sure exceptions in the firewall were added for all of them. Re-enabled Windows Firewall and everything appears to work fine now.

Ultimately, below is the list of things I had to have enabled in the Firewall. The bolded ones were not creating popups within Windows to warn you about internet connections/firewall exceptions, thus I suspect they were the ones causing the issue.

C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\Agent.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle.net\Battle.net.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II\Support\BlizzardBrowser\BlizzardBrowser.exe
C:\program files (x86)\starcraft ii\versions\base93333\sc2_x64.exe

so, in other words you had to enable all permissions for internet…

Hey folks,

For the NA connection issues, I passed it on to Bliz.

Frustration is understandable, but for those who don’t know, SC2 was retired over four years ago. Which essentially means that all new development has ended, and that it’s deprioritized as far as maintenance. Unfortunately, it’s not going to be as stable as it was when it was still actively developed.

I’m having the same issue, can’t auth to US, but can to EU, and it has been many years since attempting to log in to SC2 for me.

While I understand they may not be doing much maintenance, they were happy to take my $ in November to upgrade my Starcraft 2 so I expect enough maintenance to actually allow us to play in our expected regions.

Which we can. But there will occasionally be hiccups.
