For every pro game you find that goes to skytoss, I can find 10 games where it doesn’t. We’re talking ESL level players, not gold/plat games.
I don’t remember the last time I played a pvp with an air transition.Usually is blink, inmo,archon,chargelots and colo, but no air even if the game reaches lategame.
It’s super rare because you need the supply for archon immortal. If you try to transition and the opponent sees it, the next thing you are gonna see is their entire army at your 3rd.
It’s even harder because expanding in PvP is hard.

Yes, you waste resources on stargates and then your enemy spend that gas on archons and it’s gg, in pvp just three archons make a big difference, and good luck trying to stop a chargelot flood with air units. You start with phoenix or you don’t casually try to make skytoss.

The change to shield batteries is bad oriented rather than increasing the rate of shield regeneration (makes energy waste faster) should further increase energy regeneration. Protoss units usually have low dps. The result is the same your shield batteries run out of power long before your units die
I wish they would expand the range of the nexus shield battery ability. Make it 100 or w/e. I mean, what difference does it make, as long as it guarantees it can be used offensively…
Just put a global cooldown on it or something like there is with recall. If someone has enough energy on their nexus to use 2 of them… they’re not in a high league, anyways.
The 8 range thing just screams… we got some guys who make their buildings in a very specific way… and we want to keep it that way for the entirety of SC 2. Boring. Wrong. Sad.

It’s not a bug. It’s a separate spell attack.
They can’t nerf BCs and Swarm Hosts without making both units worthless. And if these Zerg nerfs go through, the strength of Lurkers is actually justifiable.
I can agree that those units need looking at too, but these changes are still good changes, don’t crap on them just because.

This balance update does absolutely nothing for PVP and PVZ. And now PVT will be worse with a widow mine buff. Everyone opens widow mine drops anyway. Now all they have to do is time the armory to finish when the drop arrives at the enemy base so that the mines are always cloaked. I am quitting ladder

and skytoss is not just a pvp only strongest comp and default comp that you should and need to go. And btw, if a pro does go air in pvp, they get a free win if the other toss doesnt go air too

That’s what that change is. You could make the range 200… without having anything to do with offensive usage. 8 range? It’s a joke. The ability, supposedly, isn’t even that strong to begin with.
