Hey Rain,

This happens occasionally.

But, Bliz put measures in place that should auto fix this every couple days. So give it, say, three days, and see if it’s working again.

This is bs. Why do the players have to wait every couple days for this to be fixed? With microtransactions these days, shouldn’t this company have enough money to solve this issue instead of waiting 3 days? This isn’t a problem that’s just now happening, this is a problem that’s been going on for years. Also do I gain the experience from playing Raynor that’s bugged on lvl 5?

Primarily because SC2 has been retired, meaning its development ended, over four years now. It’s no longer a priority compared to the actively developed games. Its retirement also plays into why it keeps recurring.

So unfortunately, it’s not about how much money is available.

Based off the support article that talks about this, I suspect no.

I’m sorry, I know I’m in no place to tell you how to do your job… But I think we all know that SC2 is “retired” but I don’t think it’s relevant to declare it since Microsoft added SC2 on Game pass… I’m not sure if you can see the numbers on your server, but judging on the amount of “lowbie” commanders we experience in game I’m sure that they’re “up”… Just my two cents… The game is pretty much on it’s revival arc…

P.S.

I too have the same issue and this problem has recurring on for quite a while, I’m still looking forward on seeing you at Microsoft-Blizzard provide a quicker fix to this problem…

Best regards and Thank you!

You make a good point about it being put on Game Pass. So far though, nothing has changed from 2020. My hope is that MS will take an interest in the franchise and give it a little bit of a kickstart again. In fact, I would LOVE that.

fk its happened for me again

I also have the same issue. All (I have only the base three Raynor, Kerrigan, and Artanis) my commanders were previously higher, and as of yesterday have been reverted back to level 5 and stated as ‘Capped’ despite owning a paid version of the game.

I agree with Nephilim who does indeed make a good point that actively courting new players (e.g. via gamepass) seems to contradict the concept of a retired game.

Furthermore, the commanders (beyond the base freely available three) are also still currently sold to accounts for real money ($6.95 per commander in $AU), which again does not suggest this is a retired game in practice.

I would suggest that Blizzard is gaining the perks of an “active” game yet claiming that it is retired, hence why I suspect there is community dissatisfaction. Hopefully it will indeed be fixed in a few days as suggested, but don’t forget that satisfaction with old games directly influences willingness to purchase new games…

All the best, KK

same issue here, please fix it…

已有很多人在更新後 付費買的指揮官都變成了5級了 還不少人 我也中標了

bs. Its nothing about retirement. We paid for it. So whether do ur job or just give the right to establish private server to player. Mumbling the same reply is just inresponsible.

I share the same issue as other loyal SC2 fans. If we have no choice but to wait three days so be it. See you back on this forum, as many of us will, in three days. Thank you.

Same my commander Raynor are level 8 but yesterday I open it reset to level 5

MY Raynor are level 8 .but yesterday I open it reset to level 5 please FIX IT

Retired in this context just means that it has reached the end of development: no more new content or updates will be put made by Bliz, and only larger impact issues will be dealt with. Therefore, leaving it up for sale doesn’t necessarily contradict its status. It’s just being sold “as is”. Putting it on game pass doesn’t necessarily contradict its status either as it just another platform to sell it “as is”.

Despite it being put on Game Pass, it’s still currently retired, as in, it’s not receiving any new content or updates from Bliz and only larger impact issue are being addressed. What I was saying to Nephilim is that I hope that by putting it on Game Pass, it means that MS does have some plans for SC2. But unfortunately, so far nothing has changed.

:frowning:

How SC2’s retired status relates to the commander level locking, it’s that it’s not being seen as a high enough priority to completely fix. As in, not fixing the underlying cause. Instead, it is just getting band aided, as evidenced by it recurring every so often.

That’s true, what’s sad is, MS created a buzz that by your words sir Leviathan, they can’t back up… As a Blizzard fan, I’m scared of the repercussions for new players. Gamepass is creating new players with a “subscription” which is time-locked… I mean, a few days would reduce the duration for that particular player would enjoy our beloved franchise plus provide a negative hype instead of bringing SC to a new audience, this problem may alienate those people experiencing coop/campaign problems instead. It’s just kinda depressing… Thanks for letting me vent out @Leviathan I can only dream that the community’s feelings won’t fall on deaf ears…
