5.0.3 patch notes

Yeah I’ll buy all 5 if the game goes that long for sure. But #4 and #5 come after upgrading #1-#3 all the way imo.

This will need some heavy testing for sure, but a 150% monster Tychus is a 150% monster Tychus.
My first instinct would be to invest 30 mastery points in outlaw availability, recruit the first discounted outlaw (now Sirius instead of Nux because dayum, buffed turrets!), then save up for the important Grenade upgrade and then prioritize getting the Outlaws on cooldown + the weapon upgrades on the side.

150% Tychus is really crazy and really sexy vs. endgame waves!

Tears of joy, yall!

Huge props to the devs!

Depends on who you call on, Tychus himself doesn’t have much use for the pull effect or armour reduction. Sirius probably doesn’t need fear, Vega has no need for her pull down upgrade, etc.

The trick will be weeding the ones less impactful than a 30% damage increase out.

Thinking about it more - outlaw availability is going to crush tri-outlaw mastery now for sure, as long as you float enough resources to buy them on coolup.

I wonder if Blizzard, rather than a flat 30% per outlaw, should have given you a big spike up front with your first two and then diminishing returns after that. e.g. 50% / 40% / 30% / 20% / 10%. Same 150% in the end with all 5, but going with a smaller group of 3 as the prestige seems to want is less of a self-nerf.

At the very least, you can have Nikara follow your ally’s units around.

Somewhat depends on who you use and how, for Tychus and Sam you’re going to have nearly the same auto attack damage as a 4 Outlaw team at 3 with full mastery in Tri-Upgrades and a 4 Outlaw team they will have slightly more damage output than a 5 team. Muscle may prefer Tri as well, though probably not.

how, in the absolute blistering hells does dehaka not have even more utility? For one he’s the most popular commander by a wide margin, two he has multiple calldowns and ways to teleport defenses around the map, and dehaka himself can deep tunnel. He has access to more unit choice than almost any other commander between primal units, guardian, impaler, creeper host, hydra, muta, dude is god damn loaded, how does he lack utility?

We are also waiting for an update with a separate setting of skill points for each prestige, otherwise changing them constantly is not very convenient.

Oh yeah… he’s great when everything is about punching through an enemy. But for the sake of not derailing the thread, i’m talking about mutations and not vanilla brutal. Abathur outclasses Dehaka in mutations in just about every way.

Medivacs, not load units, lose games, big bug… fix

Awesome changes!
Still want to see Stu P2 added to liberators, but oh well.

I think they should buff Dehaka p0 because there’s literally no reason to not pick Dehaka p3 at this point, you can even just use only Dehaka after you’ve broken the rocks if you want.

This is all putting lipstick on a pig. For as long as Blizzard forces people to re-grind the commanders (54 times!) this won’t take off.

And before you jump in to say how you grind it 10 times over, I’m talking about the majority of players, i.e. casuals. The official forums are not a good indicator of how accepted this system is, this is an echo chamber. I do hope Blizzard has a way of tracking how many people are grinding this stuff. Why am I saying this - a recent poll on reddit showed that the vast majority of people has 1-4 prestiges completed, followed by distant 0 and then 5-8. 80+% people completed 8 prestiges or less, 65% are 4 or less. So that’s people who are subbed to coop reddit, i.e. invested people. Move towards the grinders - vocal more so - you’ll end up here on the official forums. I would imagine 99% here think the system is the best thing ever. But move in the opposite direction, towards the general casual gaming populace and I wouldn’t be surprised if no one cares about grinding all over again. If reddit guys have 80% people at or below 8 prestiges, I would imagine that casuals have that percentage for 0-1 completed prestiges. At least.

It would be good to hear it from Blizzard though.

Very fair and good revamp on the patches, well done @dev teams!
And thank you very much more heeding my plead!
But as always I want to talk about something that I think needs some loving hand.

Has Destroyer’s damage enhanced in anyway? can someebody verify?
I still can’t help but think Destroyers are still underpowered as they should be.

Ever since the campaign the Destroyers were underpowered, with +1 bounce damage (range damage) it is still far too weak even when you are given an option to make them limitlessly. Please triple the bounce damage (double vs armour damage) and make it into a spell damage so it can truly be worth called the destroyer.

It is a good boon to have full health as well as life bar to avoid confusion.
It would still be great if you can link two Dehaka’s abilities together so their ability can be used without swapping with tab (I know this may affect using skill points but I think using abilities in the thick of battle is far more common and useful).

I personally want Queens to turn into Broodmothers (in limited supplies) as super supporters to assist Kerrigan and her army.
(My version have wide-spread healing, Wild mutation and sacrifice to heal Kerrigan)

I still wish Infested Banshees can induce plague to carried infested so they can spread mass infection among the enemies.
Infested Liberators could spread plague for air units as well (their weapon is a “Virus” after all).

Personally, I think this ability should be given to Swann in default.
Also for Grease Monkey prestige, can we have SCV have ranged repair/build?

I very strongly feel Artanis the hero unit should participate in the battle. Can it be done?

Can 200 Limit be reduced to 150?

I trust more prestige changes are coming under way, after all this is the first revamp for the prestige.
Well done Dev Teams! Keep up the good work!

I’m not surprise that people are almost done grinding all the prestiges. I know some people in the past in other games who grind like no tomorrow and it’s no different here.

I mean it encouraged people to play more and prolong coop life three times over.

Coding wise it should be easy for Blizzard but do they want to do it.

C’mon man, not even a few hours after the patch, this again?

Just enjoy the game a bit. If you can’t, then why are you even playing games in general?

They might not do much, but they only cost 125/75. For half the cost of void rays, I think they have very usable stats.

I believe now that Dehakaburger found a way to hack into Blizzard and made all this changes. Props to him.
