Its so funny. Sad, but funny.

I (and others) have been making posts about all these issues for over a year now. I have called out devs time and time again and given feedback on things that need to be improved because the game has been slowly fading for over a year.

Every time I make a post, everyone just gets super toxic and tells me to stop being so negative and I dont know what Im talking about and that no one cares and stop complaining. It didn’t need to come to this.

Its finally taken the balance to be as bad as it is and the recycled Summer Games for people to finally see what I and other players have been saying for so long.

Its about time.

Overwatch is my favorite game. I dont want to see it die. I want the best version of Overwatch we can have. Thats why Ive made suggestions like:

• new game modes

• a King of the Hill type mode where after you cap the point, your team gets a point and a new area of the map opens up to become the new point. First team to capture 5 objectives (objectives could be anything here; air drops, weapon crates, intel nodes, etc) wins!
• a Defend the Bomb type mode where each team takes turns protecting a destructable object for 5 mins. Attacking team wins if they manage to destroy the objective (objective here could be a moving destructible payload or a static object)
• a Tug-o-War type mode where there is a moving objective in the middle of the map and each team fights over the objective. The team with most people in the zone of the objective push it towards the enemy spawn area

• HUD improvements

We NEED to see our team (especially our healers) through the walls and at the VERY LEAST we need new chevrons. (plus symbol for support, shield for tanks, bullets for DPS)

Please give me the option to add shield timers on my HUD. (This might be useful for Winston too)

It wouldn’t be hard to add some graphic build in alongside the Shield HP bar.

Please make this happen. It will help Orisa have maximum uptime on her shields.

Other things that Paladins offer:

• a daily log in reward system
• daily quests for currency
• weapon skins other than gold
• announcer packs
• deathmatch that you can join with your party
• offers a better practice range
• individual hero leveling for masting skins/emotes on that hero
• up to 6 hero loadouts - in Overwatch, this could be used to save sets of cosmetics which is something else Ive been asking for

• missing game features

So, Im not sure if anyone has ever mentioned this before, but I think it would be insanely useful to have some loadout options in the hero gallery.

Most of the time I feel like a controversial negative Nancy, but Im really not. Im actually a pretty nice guy. Its all coming from a place of love and frustration because Ive been watching this game keep falling short month after month and Ive been watching my online friends list get smaller and smaller because no one wants to play this game anymore.

Overwatch has lost a lot of the fun it once had and all the CC in the game does NOT help (which is just bad game balance IMO)

I was starting to think I was crazy and like I was the only person that could see all the issues with Overwatch, but if Stylosa is making videos about it too, then clearly what I have been feeling is being share by lots of other players too

Overwatch NEEDS a MAJOR Expansion!

I hope that the devs do something about this before its too late and too many people lose interest. Ive already quit Overwatch at one point. I decided to come back and check out the new LFG system. (Ironic that when I suggested it a long time ago, people would just say that LFG would ruin Overwatch lol) Its been nothing but a great addition to the game, but there are still so many other issues that need to be addressed.

Tonight I will be playing Paladins/Dead by Daylight with my friends when normally I would be grinding in Overwatch for lootboxes, but I just don’t care anymore and neither does anyone else. I want the devs to make me care again. I miss when Overwatch was fun.

The point was to highlight important topics that players should be going back and looking at and to continue to discuss to try and draw more attention to those topics.

Implying that the forums haven’t always been a place for people to come and criticize the game is kind of silly, IMO.

Forums for any game attract more disgruntled players than ones who are enjoying the game, because those who enjoy it are… y’know, playing the game.

Personally, I’m still having as much fun in OW as I did on day one, if not more since I’ve improved quite a bit in that time.

I feel like I’m an oddity for feeling that way, but that’s my experience.

Could the game be improved? Yes. It’s an ever-changing, ever-evolving creature. I think all these doomsayer threads get a little tiresome after a while, but if this is how you feel, the forums are here for you to shout it out loud.

Oh my gooossshhhhh has no one even taken a second read through your post?? I too have been wanting several of the changes you suggested, especially updates to the UI like in pve modes. Been wanting this since the first Halloween event!! Like come on it’s been that long and we still don’t have that much superior UI??? It almost hurts because the Overwatch I’m imagining with all the features you’ve listed is a billion times better than the Overwatch we have now and it’s either going to take years to get to that point or is never going to happen if the devs stick to what they’ve been doing. I think it’s worth bringing back up long-standing ideas and re-presenting them to Blizzard, but the tone of the thread really kinda turns me off to a lot of what’s being said here.

Meanwhile, players keep reporting my posts, contradicting what I say, and trying to make me sound like the bad guy who’s doing nothing but talk about themselves.

This community is the main problem with OW. Not balance. Not lack of lore. The community.

I know you have Sprinkles. I may not agree with every single post you make, and Im sure the feeling is mutual, but this isnt about me or you. Its about Overwatch and the things we should be looking at as a community to make it better.

You have made several posts that I agree with and they are good ideas/feedback that would make the game better.

Look at Titaniums posts. Regardless of if you agree with their vision for Mercy, at the very least, the posts are so well put together that I think they deserve some sort of reply.
