Why doesn't shield bash cancel Genji ult?

It’s the best because of it’s most flexible not because it does the most damage. Barrage and Death Blossom both do more dps.

Genjis ult is a transformation ult like Mercys Valk. You can’t be stunned out of it, it runs it’s duration.

Is it even possible, besides using graviton surge or a defensive ult, for nanoblade to be anything other than a massacre?
With 75 dash damage and 180 swing damage, Bastion is the only non-tank that doesn’t die literally instantly as part of Genji’s chain.
With 130% movement speed and effectively 400 health, there’s no chance of Genji being killed.
The 130% movement speed plus dashing also means escaping Genji is impossible for most heroes, it’s the only ult that grants much higher damage output and also additional speed.

What does that even mean? How is saving defensive ults to counter their ult combo “‘not accessible”? You need to save 1 ult to counter 2 of theirs. It’s not that hard. And now you want ult combos to be counterable by just regular abilities? What is even the point of ults at that point?

Ults are mostly counterable by regular abilities. You delete the hero with the ability or bait it out, then ult. If Zen, Genji, and Ana have literally complete perfection in their gameplay, Zen will always charge his ult slower than Genji and Ana. It is not readily accessible.

Regardless, it’s still the best. It is much more flexible and it’s damage goes through shields.

He can. Anytime you see a GM/Pro player on Bastion, they’re always repairing between shots.

It’s a good thing that nobody has complete perfection in their gameplay. Zen’s ult is not the only counter to nanoblade, either. You can DEAL with nanoblade with regular abilities like hack, boops, stuns, immortality field, etc. I’m fine with that. Regular abilities are there to help deal with the ults, not negate them completely with no effort required. You should not be able to just automatically force Genji out of blade with the push of a button lmao. It quite literally takes so much skill out of the game for no reason. Tracking enemy ults and keeping a good handle on your own ult economy is part of what makes the game so fun in the first place.

It completely is. Getting your ult before both their ults are ready, and then knowing to save it for that combo is NOT too much to ask for.

A ult that is relies on them messing up more than you is not readily available.

And other abilties are negated that way. You can just shield tactical visor. You can just stun death blossom.

Apparently booping him away completely negates his ultimate. Don’t ask me how, I never seen it.

isn’t ironic that a brig player is asking this when rally is literally the same thing

Tac Visor also isn’t, because those are transform ults.

Rally is different, because not dying to it does not require stopping it.
In terms of gameplay effects, it’s just a mini Zen ult: Faster to charge, less effect.
Allowing Rally to be cancelled wouldn’t do that much anyway, because no one’s thinking “jeez if no one stops that ult we’re all gonna die” and if I do get stunned/slept while using Rally I often immediately die.

By overbuff stats Zen gets more ults than Genji. He should always have one ready to match blade.

Shield is too good at stopping ults. Having some ults it can’t stop is good.

Where are you seeing that stat on Overbuff?

I don’t care if shield blocks it or not. That was not the point.

Ult charge from damage+healing vs genjis ult charge from damage.

I don’t see that stat anywhere on Overbuff.

No you get a rough estimate by calculating ult charge gain from dmg and healing.

Genji ult along with visor, tank mode etc. Are transformation ults. They can’t be cancelled

There are other factors to consider than just those when determining that. Zen often doesn’t have his Trans ready for every single blade. Which isn’t a bad thing, but means it’s less consistently available than abilities.
