Why doesn't shield bash cancel Genji ult?

Shield stops a lot of ults and should not stop all ults, yes.
But every ult has to be stopped by something.
In the case of Dragonblade and Rip-Tire, that means doing lots of damage to an incredibly agile target that is 2 seconds away from killing you; it’s difficult, and often impossible.

Very few genjis survive a bash unless nanod.

Even then, that 1s of stun time lets you focus him to the point of having to deflect 2s.

Add in unsheathing 1s and resheathing 1s…

He gets 1, maybe 2 swings.

All without any other stun, or a sleep, assuming you dont kill him.

Or trans, or imm field…

Its been a good while since blade has been something i consider OP.
It certainly is still a strong ult, dont get me wrong, but if its mistimed, or misused in the slightest, theres plenty of counterplay availability.

Some.might even say its balanced.

i swear half of my freinds dont know what your talking about. ive had endless arguments about sombra not being able to hack soldier ult and how thats like “sooo illogical” and im like: its ow goddammit, there are channeled ults and transformation ults, deal with it its no simulator…

That’s okay, half my friends still think Orisa’s shield can’t block a shatter.
Everyone has their struggles.
