Sure. Right after you admit that the Reddit account that was found with your exact unique name that was posting racist and sexist rants is yours.
I don’t have a reddit account and I’ve never made sexist or racist remarks, what’s so hard about screenshotting your queue times being above 5 minutes? It’s the easiest thing in the world to do…
Because I’m a masochist, that’s a glutton for punishment.

i do still play because ow2 gets new content and i liked and played ow1 until it got killed, even with no content. so right now even if stuff is rocky, even if the powercreep is rampant, even if tank no longer is fun and ive swapped to support, i do like many changes in ow2. i am a believer in 5v5, i absolutely hate the fact that we are essentially beta testers but theres just no other game right now where i feel so at home, because overwatch has been a part of my life for over 6 years now.
I don’t have to care as much about the newer version of the game. Its as if Overwatch 2016 cast a shadow, and that’s what we play now.
If only that were true…
As to the OP, I play because I find it fun. This is the most fun I’ve had in OW since 2019 and I hope it keeps going for years to come.
I don’t. I haven’t logged into OW2 since October.
I just pop into the forums every now and then to see how things are going. Partially because I get a buzz out of seeing people talk about how bad it is and partially because I still have a sliver of hope that it’ll come good. Not holding my breath though.
Apex, regardless of mode (control comes back tomorrow yay) has the best feeling shooting to ever be in gaming. Most of the people i know that play it don’t even like BR, but the actual mechanics feel great.
Valorants really good, just takes a while to get used too.
Most people just get attached to one thing and have to fanboy it, cause it seems like an attack on them for… well anything against that thing xD
People also hear 1 liner, finger gun, gotcha comments and suddenly that becomes their opinion a lot of the time.
Everyone should take the time to play everything to a point they can meaningfully comment, it would strip a lot of these companies power to manipulate away.
It’s still generally fun and polished
Ah a fellow support player
More or less the same reason as you. In a sea of BR and “Tactical” shooters, Overwatch is one of the only decent games with a playerbase. Especially for us console peasants.
Is human nature. Let me explain is called partial rewards, is what moves ludopathy or even bad relationships. Rats pidgeons and humans can play something or behave ina way if theres a random reward in it, in fact it causes more addiction. It is the reason why lootboxes is inmoral, cause if people do this and they get a reward they repeat the behaviour when they need/want such. If you want them to stop playing/behaving this way simply use extinction so…no reward at all.
But if you had a game you had fun with and from time to time 1 out of 20 matche syou have fun you can be stuck waiting for it to play it, even with expetactions that surpass the reward itself.
A lot of people play to have such feeling they had before, or even expecting or waiting for it to change. Not that they are enjoying it, and so frustrated come to forums to vent some of the frustrations and changes that, in their opinion, would make the game better and more enjoyable.
So is not weird seriously, is common I fear and is human nature. In human resources or other data from products or analysis of consumer behaviour … the silent ones are the issue, cause those do not play/consume, while the ones that are vocal tend to be a minority and sometimes reflect the issues the product has. The people that test it and say “do not like it” and leave without a trace do not provide information or feedback, they simply go, so in terms of a company… listening to the community with some distance could be a good thing.
I don’t have anything else to play. I’ll probably lose interest in Overwatch when I find another game only to return when I get bored.
Today I was compared to a rat. And I feel it was deserved.
Lol no way! but yeah sadly in animals works the same way with partial rewards, put a random programm so they have a pill of food …and they will hit frenetic the lever.
Yeah same, I still play OW for the same reason you’ve mentioned OP. Sometimes, I just want to play a semi-competitive online game for few hours a day that tests my reflexes and make me feel good. It’s the same reason why I’ve always played fighting games like Tekken back when I was in High School.
But I just can’t get into tactical shooters like CS:GO, because the game is a bit too slow paced and focuses too much on aim alone. Valorant was fun at first, because the game wasn’t just about shooting but also using abilities. But sadly, I still eventually lost interest in the game after realizing how much importance there is in aim still to be impactful in the game.
Whereas when it comes to Overwatch, you can still be impactful with mediocre aim as long as you have good game sense like positioning, ult tracking, ability timing etc.
Because I love it and there is no a multiplayer that can’t get even closer to it
i dont
the forums are alot more fun than the game itself
i mostly play the game because i like the character fantasies it has. big man with large hammer, crazy dude with explosives, cyber ninja with cool reflect ability, stuff like that. I usually don’t really care if a hero is ‘meta’ or not, I mostly play whatever I want to play. I’m not in gm so it usually works.
wut? Other than Valorant there aren’t any other “csgo clones”. Last I checked the most popular arena shooter in the world is neither CSGO or a BR which is MWII
