Why are mercy mains crying?

She’s too strong now. It was an overall buff for sure. She doesn’t need to fly away as often if she’s healing herself.

They struggle in high ranked lobbies too! Just go watch vod of mercy streamers or twitter complaints from content creators lol.

We got Sojourn being hard meta because they initially wanted to force her being played in OWL.

And don’t act like they balance only around one specific rank, because Sombra was barely seen on t500 leaderboards and then they sledgehammer nerfed her because she was apparently so broken, but none of the t500/streamers were abusing her… weird.

Have you? Moira is a lot more OP in Silver-Gold than Mercy.

Or he/she loves to troll or exagerations are not really helping to prove his point. And of course I respect he loves the nerfs and consider them fair. His/her opinion is a valid as mine but all I see is someone that know little about the game.

You can literally selfheal through Bob when ulting. You lost 1 broken mechanic for another, not sure why you are crying so much. I’ve seen some Mercy players call it a buff…

That “best movement ability in the game”, was her only defense. Every character, including those on support, have some form of defensive ability or an ability to protect themselves. Mercy’s only ability was her movement and they took it away.

If you have poor aim just say that, there’s aim trainers for a reason. The GA nerf is just a lazy fix to the fact that Mercy was meta, even though the entire reason Mercy was meta was because of Sojourn, a character who has yet to be properly reworked. Even then they didn’t change anything about what everyone complained about which was damage boost.

This nerf won’t effect just Mercy players, if you have a Mercy on the team, dive comps will be harder to play as and against. Plus you will have to constantly check and stop to make sure your Mercy has kept up.

An almost 3 second cooldown increase is A LOT bigger than you think, especially with an ability that is quite literally the ONLY defense mechanism.

By playing the game? Top50 or so is much different than any other rank including the rest of t500 because those are genuine pros and she isn’t as good in pro play because limited skill ceiling as compared to Ana and kir. But regardless her value is still enough, despite being similar to junk or torb play style (low ceiling high value) that she’s played very very frequently. You knit picked the genuine top 10 and expect a torb-esque hero to be frequent there, that’s like going to dps and trying to find torb in top 10. Go throughout the t500 list and count how many mercy’s are in top 3 play time it will be around 2-300/500. For an extremely simple hero with a low ceiling to be that played is abysmal balance it would be like if junk or torb was that prevelant on the list

She had the 2nd lowest healing rate in the game before the changes, tied with Brig. Now she has lower than Brig.

Damage boost hasn’t been meta for 3 years, not even close. It’s only ever meta when it enables some crazy damage breakpoint, which right now is Sojourn’s one-shot, which is the only reason why Mercy is meta right now.

That said, many Mercy players were fine with the idea of having damage boost and resurrect changed, as long as the changes / replacements were good ones that encouraged a more active playstyle and less of a pocket playstyle. For the record, though, reducing damage boost to 5% is a terrible suggestion because that ranges from completely useless in most cases, yet ironically STILL ALLOWS SOJOURN TO ONE-SHOT PEOPLE!

5% of 195 is 9.75.
195 + 9.75 = 204.75

204.75 = MOST CHARACTERS IN THE GAME STILL GETS ONE-SHOT

Sojourn is the problem.

Moira isn’t op. Mercy’s mobility has been an issue at all SR ranges lol. I’m just saying about low ranks to emphasise how stupid her mobility is.

Because believe it or not the game isn’t a SR machine. You don’t pick your hero and just get SR because of who you pick.

It’s a game. I’d much rather play a weaker hero if they’re more fun to play. And these changes just made her less fun to play while not addressing pocketing at all.

Every vod I have seen is someone missing 20 shots on a valking Mercy. She was not a problem until she could boost Sojourn’s rail into a one shot.

When they went to first nerf sojourn, they hesitated for a while. Why? Because she was underperforming in lower ranks. They wanted her to be good in EVERY RANK regardless of the fact that one-shotting, precision heroes are supposed to be difficult to master.

They ARE balancing for lower ranks and it’s making the game worse.

He specifically said in silver-gold, at which point he’s right because at those ranks Moira can just fade behind the enemy team and murder both the supports, because at those ranks people have the mechanical skill of a spud and are unable to kill Moira killing them.

Exactly, so don’t get so attached to 1 hero out of an entire roster.

And if you have actually seen what happens in the lower ranks you will never say that Mercy is the problem there.

I was a master’s healer in Season 2 and I main kiriko if I even attempted to play mercy even with the movement tech you could do before the nerf I would still die just as much as my team. Mercy plays around her team and can sometimes escape by using their dead souls to escape and die a couple of times less, however, because of the changes to GA you are forced to play passively, and sit behind corners never peeking or doing anything the gameplay of mercy is no longer fun. The healing changes are funky and I may get used to them, but I don’t like them personally. The passive changes are awful they make her rely so much more on her team so much more if they aren’t damaged she dies much faster than usual because she has no way to heal herself like every other support in the game. These changes made the gameplay less fun, her kit not work with herself, and didn’t address anything that was expected to be changed like damage boost or rez.

Except I just said Moira isn’t OP in low ranks, and she’s not even good in high ranks. Mercy mobility on the other hand is problematic in both. So the moira comparison was stupid…
