she was never balanced to begin with
But she was. A lacklustre kit complemented by a powerful ultimate.
Sadly that is how the devs want her. I agree though but what can we do we have brought this up since closed beta.
So other solutions must be made i guess.
Yeah, because she was garbage
I would:
BASE KIT
- bring back her 60 hps, cause it was ok
- make rez on E like a second ultimate, she would have to earn this like her old rez
(so she’d have 2 ultimates on Q and E) rez would have 1 sec cast time - put dmg boost on resource meter like Moira’s healing. Mercy would have to heal people in order to refill it.
By doing so, there won’t be early REZ’es, Mercy would have to earn rez, wouldn’t be able to pocket pharah/widow all the time since she has to refill her dmg boost
VALKYRIE
- charge required increased to 2050 from 1950
- reduce chain healing to 16,5 hps and direct target would be healed for 85 hps
- dmg boost reamains the same
- remove her uninterruptible self-healing in compensation increase guardian angel speed by 15%
- decrease beam range from 30 m to 25 m
- decrease GA range from 60 m to 50 m
- beam can go through walls only for 1.5 sec (while not on valk, it goes through walls like it does normally)
By doing so Mercy wouldn’t be as powerfull during valk like she is right now. Since her range for both beam, GA and selfeal have been reduced, and her beam goes through walls only for 1,5 sec, She would be forced to participate in the battle, toggling her beam and healing the one who really needs it rather than hold M1, fly 30 meters away and hide behind the pillar, peeking from time to time to ensure beam connection doesn’t break.
Except, if you make E rez earnable, you might as well make it an ultimate, again.
Revert back to mass rez, have 55 HPS. Remove invulnerability and give her a 60% damage resistance. 0.75 cast time. Also rez refreshes GA. Fixed

I think Halo meant to say, close to being balanced. Then again, the effectiveness of a hero doesn’t determine how balanced that hero is.
I think once you factor in Valkyrie with chain healing to all nearby targets, Resurrect will be easier to charge up to. I considered 1500 healing as well, but then I also know how quickly I can get to 1500 healing done.
I agree the insta-rez is a bit annoying, but if it is something that has to be earned, and only one target can be rezzed, it seems fair. Obviously it may feel much different in action than on paper.
My favourite suggestion is still the cupcake ultimate <3
would the meta change if mercy changed though? Because she was one of the reasons sniper was also strong because “undo death” button and damage boosts
he got suspended (i think). he can’t reply for a while.
In a game where you can either die to skill… blind luck… or the flavor of the month overtuned arch… I mean hero, Rez is not a bad thing.
Overwatch is an infinite ammo, infinite respawning game of chess. There is too much “your hero’s fun ruined my hero’s fun”
What other game can you get sniped in your spawn because you were not A/D/Crouch spamming and soon as your character loaded…
Think about the math. In this game of bloated damage and CC. How many people can 6 players kill in 30 seconds? How many people can 1 Mercy rez in 30 seconds…
Yep, rez is powerful, butnitnsurenisnt grav dragon, nanoblade, raining men, exploding tire, nuclear jetson car etc powerful.
Its simple nerf her out of the meta or make her exponentially harder to play. It really doesn’t matter which but one needs to be done soon.
