I would say the OP was not stupid, it brings up a very good point, which many have posted on so far.

Wait OP said moria eating popcorn should be banned

LOOPHOLE:Moria eating anything BUT popcorn is still allowed then >:

I would imagine if the popcorn was ruled to be a bannable offense, any variation would also fit the same guidelines.

I know, I’m really just messing around :yum:
Find fun in even the smallest of things!

Finding fun is always solid advise, but never forget the effect one can have on others, intended or not.

Understood.

yeah, if enough people think an entry or reply is pointless enough it’ll get flagged… but having a particular picture shouldn’t immediately flag your post as any sort of violation as long as that picture isn’t pornography or offensive.

It’s fun but getting used a bit too much.

When something gets used too much, it starts to annoy people.

When you annoy a lot of people, some of them will do something about it.

And then level 3 loses image posting privilege.

So, maybe try other images, like Hanzo eating ramen or something.

The OP intent was that the picture is never used in a productive or positive manner, its used in the same vein as ggez. Banning both will have similar effects, the Moira spray primarily finds itself in the category of being universally unhelpful.

Uh… Why Is this thread still up? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

bolded for emphasis

Talking in absolutes is dangerous and most often provably untrue. While people may use it in a way the OP does not like… this doesn’t mean it isn’t useful or appropriate.

Idea’s that create frustration or anger tend to last much longer than idea’s that don’t. This thread is lasting as long as it does as both opposing sides very strongly disagree with each other.

Bonus faction: business like facebook try and point you in directions that they know will make you angry. As you will stay longer if they succeed.

I agree with you. That’s why even though I agree with the OP that it falls under the spam category much of the time, I think it is a very minor rules violation and the rule shouldn’t be enforced unless it’s a fairly bad example. Which is the way they handle other violations of the “TLDR, ITBL, and other fad statement,” rule. Case by case instead of an a super aggressive blanket ban on them.

Only siths deal in absolutes :ok_hand:

Makes sense?

Lol

I’m just confused as to why a thread that’s far more Toxic (Overall) Than the picture in question, is still hanging around. -.-

I Could understand the want to remove an image that is Actually Offensive, even in the slightest way. (Even if it just had a hidden meaning)

But this is a stretch.

Wanting an image BANNED Because it’s possible to perceive it as sarcastic?!

WHAT?

That’s not the conversation that is being had though. Sticking with this idea, I would think you would be hard pressed to find an example that doesn’t fit this mold.

No clue…

Here have some… cake

I’ve got a collection of different morias eating things going at this point!

I just made a point of using it in a positive way recently. I used the cake one to congratulate someone on their level 3 posting privileges.
