It’s especially great, when GM players aren’t even picking that hero. Yet Blizzard tries to force them to pick that hero.

Smurfs who buy more copies. Family and friends who buy copies for other family members or friends. OW2. Merchandise. OWL tokens. Blizzcontickets to watch OW content.

 This was actually funny.

Yes, but Ryan is right. Many new games cannot run with the initial sales because they are designed like that. Just publish the most necessary thing and add more stuff after the release.

That’s what you get for trying to cut costs. It’s like ordering a pie, and having to pay full price for pie with no flavor, with promise, that flavor will be added later on, if enough people would buy it.

Though, as example of Fallout 76 taught us, there still will be fools, that would pay for unfinished product.

Ngl we all know thoses Genji buff were here to boost OWL viewers lmao.

you probbably dont understand the power of 1%, this 1% is why everybody compete and play the game. Casuals leave left and right, new casuals come instead.

I mean if they were explicitly balancing for Gm, do you realise how broken heroes like Reaper and Bastion would have to be, to be viable?

Personally I’ll still buy Overwatch 2 so I can stop worrying about competitive and dominate AI bots with overpowered skills/talents while exploring the story.

I’d be up for it, although I think balancing around the “developing” rather than the “mastery” would be silly. No sarcasm, it would probably work better for the game and it’s longevity. If it does happen, we will see what happens in Masters and GM. Hopefully nothing ugly since the play in higher and lower ranks is vastly different.

That’s a big amount of salt right there imo

nvm level 1 acc probably a troll, gj dude you tilted me for a moment

People really are clueless. They’re constantly trying to balance the game around multiple ranks. That’s why some of their balance decisions always seem to be backwards.

Honestly they should stop taking feedback from this community and focus exclusively on balance around the top 5% of players, because trickle down balance works. It works in literally every competitive game and the Overwatch community is the only community I’ve ever seen complain about it

True, there are also so much stuff to talk about on this forum other than balance changes, most of people don’t know what they’re talking about and it’s a waste of time.

From a low ELO player: High ELO should decide the balance here’s a post that you might be interested to read :>

Honestly, I wasn’t even going to contribute to this thread but I’ve started to see people talk sense.

People act like they are being ignored and they are so entitled, they can’t see that it’s simply difficult to manage the for so many ranks.

It’s not Blizzard’s fault I’m bad and it makes sense to maximize the potential of the game by balancing around the top BUT they very clearly look at lower ranks.

Bastion would be crazy OP if not because they are trash tier.

I mean Bastion can be good in the hands of a good player.

This is why I will always say it, Sombra will always be one of the worst DPS you can pick. ALWAYS.

In a team that plays together for hours and hours, she can be deadly, coordinated attacks is where she works best. OWL players play a different game to us, if they buffed her to be useful for (often) 6 randoms in a game she would be OP at top tiers and the OWL.

Oh just to add, I am not a Sombra main or asking for her to be buffed in anyway, she is my least played hero. I think she takes great skill to get the same value as say McCree.

Well any player can be good in the hands of a good player but this is a discussion about balance.

To make Bastion as viable as any other hero in high ranks in his current form, he would be OP in lower tiers.

Bastion would be super viable on certains map if the meta wasn’t like this, he’s fine

Yes, he is fine in my opinion too.

The consensus is that he is a throw pick in higher tiers though.

The opinion of Bastion is polarised and I think it proves the point that it’s a difficult game to balance.

I guess no one will see it anyway, Blizzard abandoned the forums. There are only some forum moderators left.
