Less than seven minutes to join a match…

Its almost like quickplay isn’t quick anymore.

Its almost like they don’t want me playing the game.

EDIT: I’m perhaps going to make several references from other people whom share the same problem with me. RQ strictly limits all DPS players, both good and bad, and can take away community overall.

This post is perhaps the best one I’ve seen so far, and the developers could learn from EA. Of all people.

I’m going to say this because equality doesn’t exist in Overwatch. Flex players are the perhaps biggest MVP in Overwatch, because they’re considered the jack of all trades. Having them leave the game will put a severe impact on both the community and the game.

you could try tanking or playing support if you’d like a faster match time. Unfortunately many many others also enjoy dps so they and you have to wait.

On EU I always see queues under 3 minutes, and 2 times I’ve encountered lootbox and 25 coins on a DPS role. Sometimes I’ve even seen Tank queue 6 minutes.

I don’t know if it was a bug, but I did get the awards.
Queue times in QP aren’t that long, at least for me.

EDIT : That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t work on it more and keep fixing it.

Honestly, I say remove the stupid mechanic, because apparently, less players means more fun. When in reality, more players make the game stand.

His underlying point is that DPS players are basically being told to &%$# off and some of them take that as “Okay, I’ll just not play this game then”.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Funny thing is, sometimes when I have spare time, the seven minute queue time applies to tanks or supports.

But that’s a curse of working the graveyard shift, I suppose.

So is it simply the queue times that bother you? Or is it other stuff too? Because the devs already said they are working to improve queue times.

It will exist as long as there is interest in it. if not, no one will miss it.

There are two ways to improve queue times to this day.

  1. Use complete randomization of the MM system, and take players directly from the player pool. QP ratings will be voided. There’s what, over 10,000 players each day?
  1. Remove role queue. But Blizzard doesn’t believe in reverting.

When players find that they can’t play a game, they find something else to do. Its as simple as that. Sure, you could be that one guy to wait seven minutes and twiddle on social media, but you might as well do something far more productive than that. I’m not that guy who wants to wait seven minutes for one match. Its stupid.

Absolutely not. This has saved the game for me. You talk about killing the game…if they reverted this I’d definitely leave forever. I can never go back to 5 dps comps knowing the joy of balanced 2-2-2 games.

So some advice. If you don’t like 2-2-2 and want to play games faster then go into QP classic. It’s the exact same thing as what you liked before.

no dps players can do several things to improve the queue times:

  • play tank and heal every 3 rounds and contribute to less queue times for your fellow dps mains
  • add a tank, support player and queue with him
  • play quickplay classics with very short queue times
  • play custom games

no one is telling them to f+++ off… thats what you are saying.

if they dont want to do anything to decrease the problems, they have no right to complain.

You could also try to queue up and see that despite it saying 7 minutes, it won’t take more than 2 to actually find a game…

Yeah… because in the history of gaming, forcing players to play something they don’t want to saves games. In this case, 2-2-2.

I love your logic.

By the time this is removed from the arcade menu, people will be complaining about queue times on the forums. They already have one permanent arcade mode, and that’s Mystery Heroes. I’m sure they don’t want another.

Are you sure they aren’t plat? Why does it matter what rank they are on QP?
