Time out with blizzard services?

I’m trying to start my game and I click the blizzard battle.net icon and then hit play on overwatch but it just keeps saying there are a few hundred people players ahead of me then it’ll just pop up a message in red saying Time Out Communicating With Blizzard Services… wut?

500, then 400, 200, 100, then when it should sign you in it gives the red lettered error about timing out.

Tonight at around 8:30 PST we noticed a server wide issue affecting a large number of players. Thanks to the reports of players like you, we were able to identify an issue extremely quickly. Our developers are currently looking into what caused it and trying to fix it now.

What if it was the server’s fault?

Often we hear mentions of one off issues when we discuss penalties. “What happens if the servers crash or if Blizzard’s ISP has a problem?” or something of that nature. This does happen from time to time, but it’s pretty rare. The system is built to take that sort of thing into account, and periodic issues like this shouldn’t tank your skill rating too much. This is why the first few penalties are lenient compared to later ones.

Never imagined the Blizzard ruels would be a “yes its our fault you lost rating…but F**k you still we wont do anything even if you had no possible way to expect the issue to happen”

Blizz just wants us to give them money, dont know what I can tell you. I wish we could get it back, but they wont do anything about it. Time to switch games again.
