i love how it’s just cut off head that doesn’t even look robotic. Nightmare fuel.
Everyone thinks this is some new hero teaser and I am sceptical about it. I see it more as new asset. Echo chasis were on Anubis forever and people speculated it might be “Athena” hint, but in the end it didn’t went anywhere. At least for now, until Echo is released hero.
I think it is just some new aset to enrich visuals of Anubis. For example on beside heads there is red table cloth on those stands. Which are not in live version.
Also changes on Anubis might just be tied to story progession. Remeber at end of it Ana saved Cairo from mafia boss and allowed it to prosper.

They might be visors though. The whole head is greyed out and you can’t tell the actual material and purpose of the augmentations.

That head had apparently existed in alpha but they removed it. Now it’s back and the Omnic Echo torso pieces that used to be against the wall are gone now. Small background changes tend to hint at things that are coming.

I had been personally wondering if a hero could be made to be 100% third person gameplay.

Finally a hero that will represent the blind portion of the player-base!
I mean, this is actually a thing.
Hoping we get more info soon. Honestly waiting to update my concept.
(Plus want to be over 50% sure, but must hold back due to cruel reality.)
If and a big if here:
A) He still has any flesh left (which he does in the original concept art, it could have changed alot by now)
- He’d be more a cyborg like Genji than an Omnic.
B) Doesn’t necessarily mean he’s blind.
- They could be visors as someone else mentioned.
- They could be tactical goggles or tactical sunglasses
I mean that those pieces could’ve very likely be Omnic as I doubt Blizz would throw in decapitated heads in a map. Other than that, slight changes in a map often point to a new hero (I.E getting into Hammond’s room on the HLC) or a Cinematic (The broken glass in Watchpoint Gibraltar, as well as the signs of conflict in Hanamura)
It’s a good theory, but we’re supposed to be having the LNY event as our February content, in theory we still could get a map in January, just not one for the main stage games, maybe something for Arcade
I would give up on new map stuff. Would have seen that by now.
