This is not art school though, it’s people dragging down the efforts of other people when they could’ve just as easily suggested a color change and show the reason why they want the change like other people did, instead of calling them “lazy” or the choice “boring”. Simple.
The thing is: the only time that people can give any sort of feedback is when the concept is presented as a product.
You can’t just say they’re being rude when they’re taking the only chance they have to suggest any kind of changes before the product is implemented in game.
It means that there are barely any actual cases of people being rude, which, when you’re trying to claim that:
I’d say that, yes, it goes against your point. Does it completely disprove it? No. But I honestly think you’re making a chicken out of a feather.
I can really find more, but I’m done “cherrypicking” LOL.
Except for this gem:
Seriously… if you wanna see what I’m talking about, you could go read the other threads yourself, I know what I’m saying and even took the time to quote some. I also know no matter what I say you’ll cherrypick on the quotes I show you and try to contradict me.
You just proved you Cherry picked, Considering I also wrote the above
Probably was the worst example to pick.
You miss the point, first off, half of those posts did give valuable feedback (the yellow looks weird, would prefer x over y color, etc)
Secondly, they’re artists doing corporate work. They literally get this kind of feedback every day. I really feel like you’re making it out to be worse than it is. A lot of people are excited about the skin but questioning the wings. That’s legitimate feedback, despite you claiming it’s negative. All the top threads on it give alternatives, even reddit has a post that made it to the front page of the subreddit with a lot of photoshopped mock ups.
You said what you said, you could’ve given that feedback and leave it at that. No need for metaphors that are just uncalled for.
Not exactly the best example since they were basically just using a metaphor to make it easier to understand.
I have, and I know that most people aren’t being ‘rude’ or ‘inconsiderate’.
That does not excuse the behavior of some of the people in the forums, and that’s what I’m trying to highlight on this post.
Umm, how was mine not constructive?
Blizz stocks weren’t plummeting back then.
It’s not our job to do that though. It’s the job of the art department. If they opened up the concept stage to us and invited us to do it, great. But this is the opening of the art gallery and the artist is presenting now.
I didn’t particularly find the “such a weird decision” part very constructive. That being said, the rest is a valid opinion.
Lol, I thought the same. I literally read that and said “what??” That was constructive feedback if I ever saw it
I’d love to have a Q&A with the artists for this event to see what their creative process was like and give them a chance to explain their decisions so people could at least understand why they were made and maybe, hopefully, let it go.
Me too, maybe then people can realize that the artists who work on these skins are also human.
It’s just a cosmetic aspect and it doesnt affect Mercy’s gameplay Winged has rounded face and blue panties. Pink sfx, Witch cool voicelines and black panties, does it affect? No.
But it is though.
The community is the consumer and consumers do have the right to voice their opinions on the product.
…gonna tell us which one wasn’t constructive?
Ok, I followed up and am willing to admit I was mistaken (although I’m not sure why I’d delete my account over that).
Regardless, the attitude and entitlement some people have on these forums, as if the Blizzard devs owe them something is insane. There’s no harm in asking for the colour to be changed in a polite manner.
