Yeah, who can forget the bicentennial quarter?
wow, let me guess 55-58
If I was your wife Iād be ecstatic anytime you brought a new figure home! Lucky I have a partner who likes them, Iām thinking of getting her the new Hanzo one for her birthday.
Nah I had em youngā¦50
Iām bringing my fake ID- 31 here. Been part of the competitive gaming scene since the Halo days. Got into OW in S4 and mainly played DPS, hit high diamond, but noticed age has reduced my reaction times as I climbed, so got into Off-tanking.
Hit my goal of hitting GM last season, so pretty pumped. Iād say my mechanical skill is still solid but I play better mind games than I ever did whole younger.
Good to see people still play who arenāt the youngsters
Iām your age and in the same boat. I missed the whole PokĆ©mon craze and Harry Potter. It makes me feel even OLDER when I see people who grew up on those talk about how long ago that wasā¦
Ha, grandpas. I am only 33.
Honestly I just had a lot of fun with the game during the beta that I never had with other game in the recent years.
Seriously though, I like to watch twitch gameplay of OW and YouTube videos. They make references to PokĆ©mon and the viewers love it, and Iām over here like, āI donāt get itā¦ā
Also, I canāt keep up with the ever-changing definition of what a āmemeā isā¦
Iām happy that even though Iām four years older than Hanzo, I have substantially less grey hair than he does.
Part of what got me interested in the game was being a fan of the webcomic āNerf Now!!ā Itās devoted a good number of strips to Overwatch, and that helped with my decision to give it a try, combined with the other buzz the game was getting. When I saw that it was on sale one day, I decided to take the plunge, and i havenāt regretted it.
i just turned 35 this month
You start to think on things you wouldnāt when you were younger like the fact there is no after life and once you die thats it,light out, game over,do not continue.
I had that same thought while writing the post. Ultimately, Iād imagine thereād have to be some huge global eventāa World War, aliens invadingāto really justify a blanket description for a generation across most cultures. The internet is probably a large enough event, but, yes, its adoption worldwide is staggered.
My youngest sister brought Harry Potter into our house. Weāre all avid readers. I wasnāt interested at first, but when both my mom and dad started reading them, I knew something must be up. Definitely worth it!
Also, Twitch is an addiction
who actually cares how old u r
Iām 36, bald and often wonder what life would be like if I had a ton of money and didnāt have to work ever again. Would I still play Overwatch? I would lol
i just turned last month 36 and i havent had no slow down yet thank god still getting better at games and i been gaming since Atari the first one then got the nes lol and from there on every game console and on pc as always lmao.
Since weāre all around the same age, did you guys even play X-Com? aka UFO Defense on PC?
Do you guys remember the Diablo 2 days where we used to collect ears?
Do you remember Pamela Anderson was like the best thing ever?! lolol
I miss being young lolol
I did not play the original X-Com because it was not available in my country but i did play the remakeā¦4-5 times.
Played Diablo 2, yesā¦the Amazon was my pickā¦
Pam An was great but i like Anna Nicole Smith so much moreā¦
tbh, i actually do prefer where i am right now. Sure, I miss waking up to no achy joints and being able to recover faster from sports injuries and late nights but in my 20s, i was very socially awkward; a bit of an intellectual snob (does not help that i was in the top 3-5% of my generation academically); had no money and was overweight (176lbs) when i was in my 30s.
I would like to think that i am wiser now, trimmer (163lbs) and definitely have a little more cash in the bank. Nope, donāt really miss being āyoungā. XD
especially when i see how the young 'uns behave onlineā¦
Dude, you and your family are doing really cool jobs! So i gather that you peeps are in L.A. / Hollywood?
I am not an advocate of console gaming although i grew up on atari, nintendo and Sega consoles, that all changed once i had my first IBM PCjr and started on Kingās Quest. Then, PC master race for life.
My children are kinda following my footsteps. My 13 yr old daughter would much rather game on her PC then on the Nintendo Switch. The son too, he keeps gravitating towards both his elder sisterās PC and mine over the Switch. However, i guess that like his sister, he probably would only be able to physically and mentally handle the KBM interface a year later or soā¦although he be already bugging me to build him his own PC. Ha ha!
Alas, time is such a premiumā¦
Actually, I live in Maryland, usually called the East Coast Hollywood. I did a three year stint on the Highlander franchise, but that was the closest I personally cared to get to Hollywood. That was filmed in Canada and France.
The Tom Savini school is in Pennsylvania. Sheāll probably be heading west in a few years, though. Sheāll definitely be California bound.
There is no amount of money on this planet that could get me to live in California. Not a State for me.
I think Diablo 2 was the game I had the most hours on ever until OW.
Iām 21. But I though my Iād join the thread only because itās nice to see so many different people of different ages playing this game.
