I think I’m more worried about the models of the products in the future. Like will it continue to be live service, will it turn into something else, will there be other sequels, are they going to work on other games (they did cancel that other survival game), stuff like that. I’m not too worried about if the game will turn into COD, it’s been all over the place over the years and I’m sure it’ll change relatively quickly but I am curious how their business model will change.

What the actual sorcery trick are they thinking? She was the former General Manager for COD franchises… we just got rid of the stupid activision shackle that held Blizzard and they put one back in.
A rightful move might actuall have turned into an horrible one.
microsoft only cares about this merge making cash for them, cod is mostly why they wanted abk because it’s a huge cash cow, maybe the biggest in the gaming industry. putting the gm of the cod franchise in the president’s position makes sense i guess since their only real goal is to make a buttload of money, mostly off of cod.
i miss overwatch 1 and now it’s impossible for us to have anything even remotely like it again. i anticipate more focus on shop and skins, heroes still locked in the battlepass, more things introduced to the shop for players to buy, and a heavy watering down of what overwatch is to make it more like other shooters so it’s more accessible to a larger range of gamers.

Yeah it definitely is. Hopefully this video links properly but essentially it explains that…
- Blackrock and Vanguard own majority shares of many if not most gaming/media company’s.
- They give massive amounts of funds to these company’s under strict SEG (Social, Environment and Governance) prerequisites
- Said prerequisites require forced inclusivity of people of colour and lgbtq+ in the workplace
- Said prerequisites also require said inclusivity within the games/media aka characters of colour, gender, sexual preference etc…
The thing about this issue is, the funds they receive are often significant. Meaning they can shoehorn this stuff in the game and the game can be negatively affected by it, but they still receive the funds so long as a certain quota is met. 2K Gearbox specifically received $1 Billion in funds for Borderlands 3 with the quota that it GBX must make $1.5 Billion within a certain time frame.
They very clearly shoehorned the SEG stuff into that game which left fans with a dirty taste in their mouths. The story of BL3 was terribly written. But it was a win for GBX, they didn’t need a greatly written game because they got their $1bn in funds from Blackrock.
Companies directly affected by this are 2k, ActiBlizz, and many more.

No, I don’t care to spend my personal time writing an effortful post debunking a 15 minute conspiracy theory video for the benefit of some random person on the internet.
Vanguard is a company owned wholly by the investors in its funds. The most honest company in finance. To claim they have some ulterior motive by fearmongering about the amount of dollars they hold is laughable.

You’ve only insulted the character of Upper Echelon, who yes is not an avid investor, but an investigative journalist. If you watched the video at all, you’d see in the intro he exclaims he has opinions, but is leaving them out of the video. And you made no actual points to argue anything within the 2 videos.
FYI that’s typical political cult behavior. To refuse to listen to the points made, to not hear out any side that opposes your beliefs, and to attack the character instead of make an actual argument to said points.
