I was hoping that they will put someone from Microsoft to keep them in check.

Hmm congrats to her, but i wonder if this yet another of those cheeky corporate shenanigans where they put women on high positions when the company is struggling or just passed through controversy so if whatever project they do fail they can blame it on her?

I asked myself “how many posts in before someone has a tantrum over a black woman in charge and call it woke.” And bam!

Does it really work? I feel like regardless of what gender Big boss Bobby K was, no one liked him (regardless of what you think his impact on OW2 was. He’s actual scum)

First of all, OW is way more “woke” (not discriminatory and valuing the right that many countries constitutions have given their people, thats “woke”) than cod is.

I’m pretty sure that guy was being sarcastic?

As long as they take overwatch in the right direction I don’t care who they make president.

Id be surprised if much changes that wasnt already in the works

The new rumored patch would pre date microsoft and their influence

OW2 will become another COD replica instead of being unique what OW1 was with it’s 6v6 format and GOTY. OW2 will NEVER surpass OW1!

I mean we all know Bobby is scum, but even after all the controversies he kept his job, i feel had it been a woman she would have been yeeted waay before, but idk lets see how it goes

Well, it’s been fun, guys

RIP Overwatch

No way, I feel like whoever fires Presidents of companies would be scared to fire a woman because of the perceived controversy. I mean blizzard was and still is preaching diversity and acceptance while being a breeding ground for women’s harassers, so they need whatever defense they can get I suppose.

Rumor is her first question as Blizzard pres was “does the 2 in Overwatch mean double the money?”.

To which Jared replied “no, it’s a denominator.”

And she replied “no, IM the denominator!.”

Everyone looked around confused and then Jared went and added more cosmetics.

They’ll reconvene in 2025.

With all these changes going on, I’m worried about the game. I hope she does well. Good opportunity for herself.

based her employment history i see this more as a move to revitalize the esports segment of OW2.

CoD league is going strong (as far as i know, i do not follow it)

She also worked in the NFL so to make that switch from physical sports to online sports wouldnt be too much of a stretch, and it clearly worked for CoD.

She very well could be a DEI hire, or she could be absolutely fantastic at her job - given her history, i would assume she is fantastic at her job.

Jared just lied to her, Bobby definitely meant for the 2 to mean 2X the $.

Lets hope it will be that way. People compare her job more to Kotick but shes a replacement to Mike Ybarra instead. I hope that they can make the most of the new OW Esports because the franchise needs it.
