I just got a reply from blizzard (probably the most useless reply ever)
He told me to make sure i have sms protection and the games after enabling it count and that i should post on ow forums and thats litteraly it
Also when i post on forums they tell me to send an email then when i send an email they say u should post on forums im stuck in an endless loop

Yeah, from what I can tell, the initial support ticket response will always be to just post on the forums and it’s only after you keep replying to them that support actually look into the issue. I’d reply to the ticket with more details about the issue or just acknowledge that you read their response and wait for a followup response. Do keep us updated though.

I did link the post actually, but the reply I got just told us to spam forums. I wish I was exaggerating, but the support literally said “the redundancy is what we look for to help track what issues are important.” So the more posts/noise we make even if fully redundant, the more of a chance they might see it

There is currently not any confirmed issues with the top 500 leaderboard in Overwatch 2 and this is not something that we can look into for you. I am happy to hear that you also already posted on the forums. Submissions posted there have the benefit of allowing a community discussion around high-impact bugs, which can help in prioritizing them. What a joke of a company how is there no confirmed issue regarding the top 500 glitch ??

Yup having one comprehensive thread is nice and all but it doesn’t portray how widespread a bug is nearly as well as countless smaller threads on the same bug, which is why I’ve been wanting people to make their own posts too.

Adding my response to Hog1trick here because sequential replies are banned for whatever reason: Is that so? That’s rather confusing as Rilnoth saying there’s no confirmed issue regarding the the top 500 leaderboard is directly contradicted by my second ticket response from FrostFenic in November: “We have received multiple reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended for some players. Currently, we do not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience while our developers work as quickly as possible to resolve the issue.” Clearly two opposing statements cannot both be true, so there has to have been some form of miscommunication or oversight. That being said, miscommunications and oversights seem to be emblematic of the state of the game at the moment so it all seems rather fitting.

Im guessing that theyre reviewing the issue but theyre not really taking any action towards it cuz its nit really their main focus so theyre kinda lying by saying “where working as fast as possible to ressolve your issue

They’re talking about OW2 in their reply, but it’s OW1 which had an issue. Although I’m pretty sure that OW2’s leaderboard is glitched as well.

Well, I made a post that started popping off and is probably gonna stagnate to what the views are now (1,014). Once it started getting some traction I added an edit to the original post to talk about the season 36 top 500 leaderboards hoping someone would take notice. Just trying to get it out there :melting_face:

To Hog1trick: That’s fair, there are more issues with the game than I could bother listing and ours isn’t exactly high priority relatively speaking. That being said, I still wished they’d give us at least some idea as to when it could be fixed if it could at all.

To Akiyama: Based on the several dozen threads I’ve linked at the bottom of my post, I think there might be some bugs with OW2’s top 500 leaderboard as well. Just a personal hunch though.

To TractorProd: Ideally, it would be the devs who took notice of this issue as they’re the ones who fix these issues and not the players but any effort to get their attention is greatly appreciated regardless. A direct link to my and others’ posts would be much more efficient than a simple statement though so if you would, an edit of it would be great. And as for submitting a bug report, just head to the main bug report screen and it’ll be the blue button that says +New Topic in the top right. And it’s probably a lukewarm take but I also left a comment on your post as well if for whatever reason you’d like to hear my opinion on Ana at the moment.

At this point i give up sending them emails i just got this reply

After reading over your ticket, I understand your issue regarding Overwatch and your name does not come at the leader board.
After investigating your issue, we can say that customer Support is not able to provide end of season rewards on Overwatch.

So what am i supposed to do with this info ?

Yup, this ticket response seems about par for the course. I’m assuming the ticket you sent was about not appearing on the season 2 leaderboards and not about missing top 500 rewards which is curious. This information isn’t exactly new either, blizzard support have clearly stated how only the devs can fix issues like these.

“So unfortunately we as support are not able to provide these rewards manually, instead this would need to be reported via the following process for investigation: https://battle.net/support/en/article/7093 . I know this isn’t the same as getting a specific reply from a developer about an issue that you personally are having, it does allow us to get a good idea if something isn’t working by seeing it publicly among other issues on a greater scale.”

And then as for how to get their attention about these issues, well the only proven methods are large public outcry and or backlash. But seeing as none of us are popular professional players or content creators, our ability to have our issues seen is directly proportional to how many other players are affected or want these changes. Basically, wejust have to keep filling the forums with bug posts and hope enough blizzard support staff see them and notify the devs to fix these issues.

And also, you probably already have done this already but make sure your account is both SMS Protect enabled and Blizzard Authenticator enabled. That’s one other way I can think of that might be causing you to not appear on the leaderboards.

Assuming you’ve already had both of those enabled, then I’d suggest trying to revive this thread: Account not showing in T500. And if at the start of season 3, or any time really, you find yourself still missing from the leaderboards and missing your rewards, try reviving this thread as well: Top 500 Player Title Bug. And if you truly want your rewards, then you can try reviving as many of the threads I’ve listed or just monitoring the bug forums for other players with the same issues and sending the links of their posts to me. Anything helps.

It says i have 100% security on my account phone number and blizzard authenticators both on also ive heard that console players dont need sms protection but i did it anyway but i stil dont see my name.

Im guessing ur on top 500 but u havent gotten ur rewards or whats ur issue

Yeah, it seems you not appearing on the top 500 leaderboards is a bug issue then and not a technical issue. As for me, I was removed from the top 500 leaderboards at the start of season 1 and am missing my top 500 rewards for season 36 as well. There are roughly 250 other people just like me in that season alone. There are numerous players who haven’t received top 500 rewards for season 1 too and, assuming the devs continue to leave these bugs unaddressed, it seems you’ll be one of the players who won’t get their rewards when season 2 ends either. The only thing we can do is to keep being active on the forums and hoping the devs take action to fix these bugs.

Pretty amazing how poorly OW2’s launch has been addressed honestly.

Were u removed from top 500 because of ur rank or did ur name just randomly stop showing uo because u need to end the season at t500 so even if u were at some point top 500 and drop u wont get the rewards but im guessing thats not ur case and it is a bug
