Seriously? What most Mercy players wanted was to remove Resurection as an ability.

And you are wondering why there is so much Mercy spam. Responses like that trigger people. “Well she’s balanced” “I never found her fun” then why are you the dictators of Mercy’s state if you don’t even play her currently. Because right now Mercy isn’t balanced. She’s a pocket healer something that Blizzard never intended her to be. She is supposed to be team oriented but if 90% of her kit is single target she isn’t.

shes supposed to be a jack of all trades master of none, which she is now. before the last nerf she had easily the best solo healing in the game in terms of consistency

theyll never get rid of rez, i think they said theyd get rid of the entire character a while ago if they wanted to get rid of rez, since rez is mercys core ability and what makes mercy mercy

a bundle of problems blizzard really doesnt want to get into again, honestly i dont know what they should do with mercy, they cant remove her, although i would love to watch the forums burn to the ground because thatd be priceless, but in all seriousness, idk. I did play mercy a lot, but only because i had to, so i dont know what to do with her, all i care about is the forums.

Oh yes. After a year of censorship and being treated like second class citizens why not censor us again?

I mean. We’ve only been complaining about the state of our main for a YEAR now. And we still haven’t had the arguments die down.

well, the rework was made to make her more viable. That rework goal was definitely a success and more. I get what you mean though

She’s the best consistent healer which makes her the master at healing? So I don’t get what you mean by that phrase. What supports should have is their own niche’s something that they excel at and something that they aren’t good at. Mercy’s downfall was her ability to not AOE heal targets but had insane mobility and single target healing and a small amount of utility. Where Ana had a small amount of AOE a huge amount of Utility and strong single target healing and no mobility.

Literally everyone here does this in regards to dozens of other characters. You’ve got people who have never even touched Genji acting as if he’s some super saiyan 15 Cyan God who is unkillable with zero weaknesses and an Ultimate that consistently gets 6 man team wipes trying to dictate that he should be gutted like a fish and shouldn’t have a Dash reset period. Yet it’s okay for them to try to dictate? People are going to use their own anecdotal experiences playing with/against characters to come to conclusions about them. Right or wrong, that’s how it is. It isn’t exclusively done to freaking Mercy. Which is, funnily enough, KIND OF the problem a lot of people have with Mercy mains.

Yes and? That’s her niche. Best consistent single target healer and the best throughput healer. What was added during the rework was AOE healing which made her healing skyrocket. Something that Mercy never needed or should’ve never had in the first place.

i agree with the last part, but frankly i dont think she should have had the best consistent single target healer when ana is basically another single target healer except way way harder and way less consistent. People are always wanting high skill characters to be better than lower skill ones, why was it ever okay for mercy to be the best single target healer for the low amount of skill required

The problem is if they come out and say “we are not reverting” it will cause so much drama and qq.

But Ana brings more utility then Mercy. One that completely stops all healing on enemies for 6 seconds. A sleep dart when landed can put a play unconscious for 6 seconds. Each hero excelled in what they did back then. Ana only should’ve received the first set of nerfs and not the damage nerf and nano speed reduction. What Mercy needed was a utility E to compete with Ana and a reworked Resurrect as an ultimate to allow counterplay as well as change it to make it more useful to Tempo Resurrect.
