That may be true but with her big buffs this patch Brig will finally be able to peel for her partner. And donāt forget sleep darts 1 sec reduction and mercyās new pewpew Iād be surprised if we dont see massive meta changes soon

They should give her a healing aura radius like Lucio when pistol is out, even if its weak with a tight radius. I donāt even play her in OW2 and doesnāt look to change anytime soon.

DPS no longer get a speed boost after an elim. Basically a revert but THATāS MAJOR. These rush comps were getting ridiculous. It was hard to aim in, it was hard to aim against. THIS IS BETTER FOR SUPPORTS.
Kirikoās ult was too good imo, rightfully nerfed. Made rush comps even more outrageous, weāll see though.
I agree they couldāve had more and better changes (Brig buffs where?) but I donāt really know what they could do to improve the other supports.
Donāt worry guys they just hired Dawson the man with a plan heās gonna restore balance to the force in Season2.
Sorry dawg. This is single-handedly the worst meta for support. Not even close for anything weād ever seen in OW1.
I literally donāt even care if the battle pass sells or not or any criticisms towards twitch drops/business strategies because the game itself has degraded to glorified TDM.
And the response of āWe are sensitive to the issues support are facingā is a sugarcoated way of saying, We know we turned your role into cannon fodder but itās not a priority and weāre going to wait and see how much we can milk your patience, money and time before we actually dedicate any man hours into fixing it.

I might be wrong here and I am going off memory, but this MAY BE the worst supports have been in the game EVER. MAYBE. I wouldnāt say this meta is the worst ever for supports though. DPS mobility just got reverted. How can it be worse than it was just a few hours ago?
Iām only saying this is probably their worst balancing state ever, because there is no one true stand out anymore. They do need a tad more, I just donāt know what.

That is not true at all. There are countless thing to complain about in OW2, but the Supports have to be way more creative, risky and engaging to get value now. The opposite of sitting duck

I mean supports have pretty much en masse stopped during season 1, and didnāt come back for the severely delayed midseason patch, and they basically did the usual false promise of meaningful changes before nerfing kiriko, buffing ana andā¦touching mercy but not doing anything to her? Itās as if they said changes were coming in order to keep support players playing; itās honestly like an abusive relationship.
Iām glad I didnāt believe the lies, though. Yet I was still severely disappointed.

Why would you want to or need to, just pick DPS and have fun. Seriously, I moved over a while ago, and I have zero regrets. Donāt do it to send a message, just do it for you own game enjoyment.
I watched ML7 commenting on the patch notes, canāt agree more with him. He said that in OW2 he reached #1 just āstruggling to surviveā. This is the whole resume of the experience said from a #1 support player. Imagine the rest of us.
Their solution: keep the support role the most penalized, hard to play, less rewarding role of the roster.

This is a complete joke that will lead them to lose more and more supports.
They either open their eyes and fix this soon, or the game will die for the lack of supports.

Iām just going to uninstall the game for my own enjoyment, at this point. Which is a shame, because I wanted to enjoy it, but season 1 support + the doubling down on the problems of dive and survivability, and laughable support changes for season 2 arenāt accommodating.
The 10% of my time that wasnāt support was tank, and I was actually interested in the JQ skin at the end of the season 2 battle pass. But Iāve played some season 2 games now, and I canāt see myself playing more. Itās baffling to me that a F2P game would allow what they seem to want to be 40% of their playerbase by role to be in this state. But since they are, I guess they just donāt care about the money of support players. Surely a smart business decision.
