Supports are huge sitting ducks... More than ever

That is a cool idea for sure because often times I’ve noticed that you can’t stop healing as Mercy if the enemy team has a lot of poke or your team gets pwnd.

The game will end up dying if it continues to abuse supports, either this changes or S2 will only be left with tanks and dps in eternal 1h queues.

Devs, WAKE UP, OPEN EYES.

Solution: learn to play one of those three and adapt.

Yes, but you realise one of the reasons they did this was because it also affected DPS as well as for a lot of people it threw off their aim to all of a sudden start going faster for a short duration? Getting rid of that part of the DPS role passive is hardly gonna make that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things…

But anyway, that’s not even the point. They’ve just overbuffed Doomfist - an incredibly mobile tank that can target Supports very easily and they’ve also just buffed Tracer back to OW1 levels - a DPS with incredible mobility that is all about flanking and going after the Supports.

Sojourn is still gonna be disgusting anyway, they nerfed her, but gave her compensation buffs (?!?!?!) So she’s still gonna be insanely strong.

Winston is still the same.

And Supports got nothing to deal with any of this.

The role as a whole needs a blanket rework of some sort.

Well then, they stop standing still

I can play all three of them.

I don’t enjoy being forced to play 2 of my least favorite supports and 1 support who’s meh to me every single game in order to avoid death simulator.

So I just queue for DPS where even if my pick isn’t meta I can still control whether I stay alive :woman_shrugging:t2:

Only way to do that is open role que.

I mean Ana is still playable, you just can’t miss A SINGLE ANYTHING or you’re dirtnapped.

Literally can’t miss a single primary fire, dart or nade while the Genji jumps around like an acrobat spamming shurikens in your face, Winston repeatedly just in and out of the fight and the enemy Sojourn is waiting in the backline to one-tap you with her Mercy Pocket.

But, other than that, sure.

The issue is that against a dive tank like Winston or Doom, even if you sleep them and time anti right, you’ll still just die when they wake up unless you get help.

Against flankers it’s an uphill battle and yeah like you said if you play perfectly(which is much harder for you than the flanker), you can survive, but against a flanker AND a dive tank? Good fricking luck lol.

Stop trying to force off meta heroes like Ana work in a meta where she is not good.

Learn what heroes are good in a meta and use those. Adapt.

I know how to play Kiriko/Moira/Lucio.

I also don’t enjoy them enough for them to be essentially the only heroes I play for an entire season.

Id rather just queue DPS where I can play the heroes I enjoy without being dead the entire game regardless of how meta they are :woman_shrugging:t2:

True, but the devs would probably just rework the game to 1-3-1 by that point. Which I wouldn’t object, frankly. They already removed a tank after all so it’s not off the table.

the back line now have no chance of surviving unless they went battle moira or brig .
those idiotic changes made like a shooter game not support in mind AT ALL

yes
let role que die
i bet before they buff support they remove role que

“Everyone has counters! Except for supports. They only GET countered!”

You should be a game designer lol

The Tracer and Doom buffs are more impactul than any buff supports got in OW2 alltogether.

If I was to make a game it’d be kind of like OW, but with set classes and maybe over time those classes change playstyles and then later go back to a playstyle. For example: the rogue may be a ranger in another season and work more like hanzo with an entirely new kit.

It would a “hero shooter” but with a medieval theme and no character selection except you pick which of the four you want to play.

You’d have a party consisting of a knight, sorcerer, rogue, and cleric.

4 players on each team. To compensate for only 8 in a game I’d have more enclosed smaller maps. Stylistically one team would be “good” side and one “evil”. Or maybe Humans vs Orcs or something.

The knight would play like Rein. Big guy with a shield swinging sword. Maybe has a dash in ability say “shield bash”. Can throw a javalin like Orisa for his skill shot with a stun.

Sorcerer has the old magic missiles. Maybe some floaty ice orb thing that damages and CC’s. And then he can cast “flame weapon” on another party member to buff their damage.

Rogue throws knives kind of like Kiriko. Has a “backstab” where if you manage to get behind someone does a nice chunk of damage. Can sort of fade like Moira “hide in the shadows” and can climb like genji.

Then you got a cleric. Can cast a heal aura on cooldown, but has single target resource based heal as well that recharges as you hit things with the flail (think moira). The flail will have a little range being able to whip out and hit stuff like Brigs whipshot but with shorter range and more spammable. It will also have a little knockback on it. The cleric will also have a speed aura on a cooldown.
